It may be helpful to use a FMA Co-pilot on autogyros. My friend always flies his autogyros (also this Kellet) with the Co-pilot, and he now have no stability / orientation problems. (One major problem with autogyros is orientation in the air)
It is an awsome kit. Clearly the pilot in this video had no experience with Autogyro flight. The model rolled as a result of what is known as falling off the ball. He failed to take corective action, and then flamed a good design/kit because of his own deficiencies. Perhaps if he knew a little more about orientation, and basic pilot skills his Kellett would not have been involuntarily re-kitted(the term for returning the model to it's pre-assembled state).
(Ahem, this is not my first autogyro.) The crash is *not* the kit's fault, but mine (rudder alignment). In the air, she kept rolling left, until the wind hit her from the wrong side. All the maneuvers you see, apart from the take-off, is trying to unbank her some way or other.
Still, the kit has many quirks and is overpriced. I stand to it that this is the worst kit but one I have built over the last 20 years.
At least the damage was small. She's in flying condition again, but I'm too busy.
Cheers for the heads up. I was thinking of aquiring one which is why I was looking at various videos, to look for flaws. I might reconsider purchasing one having read your comment although I would like to ask how much this kit costs in a ready to fly form because the gyro's home website is badly laid out.
Thats one of the coolest RC autogyros ive ever seen. Kudos!

Autogyro's aren't meant to go upside down. It wasn't an error in the kit....
Better luck next time.
