I think it's unfair to put the achievements of Sir Francis Drake in with pirates. He was a privateer which is very different to a pirate. Ninjas are basically just elite soldiers... Saying that Drake was a pirate is equivalent to saying the SAS are ninjas. Plus, the whole point about Nanjas is that they are as mysterious as hell. Who knows what they get up to?

The winner is hilarious, but he's answering a different question, "Who's cooler", not who had the greatest world impact, which you obviously got right.
William Kidd is a very interesting failed privateer. He was financed by British nobility and the King. His unhappy backers abandoned him, and the documentation he had was confiscated and lost, while official government documentation exonerating him as a privateer and not a pirate were only discovered 200 years after he was convicted and hung for piracy.
You mention the lesser Black Beard, but not the more famous Henry Morgan or William Kidd.
Morgan gathered a large fleet of 1400 pirates landed in Panama, marched over land, and sacked the richest settlement in the new world, Panama City which had to be rebuilt completely at a new location afterwards. He then threw a party, and stranded most of his drunken men to eventual Spanish justice, as he sailed with the loot to Jamaica. He was knighted and became an Admiral and Governor of Jamaica.

Piracy, like theft, existed all over the World. For instance the Vietnamese boat people of the 70s were often raided multiple times by pirates as they tried to escape Vietnam. Japanese priates raided Asia for over 300 years. Could go on.

I just had a philosophy on Pirates and Ninjas in the political world.
I consider the ninja like a conservative we living in hiding waiting we are always the trying to strike the hardest where it hits. For this example I use the conservatives in Hollywood and Conservative talk radio.

3 reasons that your reasons mean nothing about why pirates are cooler. I will explain :)
1. Pirates may have had a larger PUBLIC impact on the world. But ninjas lurk in the shadows and do the dirty work you don't hear about in the history book.
2. You never know where a ninja will pop up. Ever see Beverly Hills Ninja with Chris Farley?
3. You never hear stories about ninjas and don't know if they are true because they rely on stealth and secrecy.
What Dana means, I think, is that a ninja with an equal impact on society to a pirate is better than a pirate because the ninja did it anonymously. Dana claims that having an impact on society anonymously takes more skills than doing it openly.
If, instead of making your vids, you haxed youtube and edited various important peoles' comments and changed everyone's perceptions and conclusions, you will have had a huge anonymous impact (assuming you don't get caught). i.e. ninja

Piracy, like theft, existed all over the World. For instance the Vietnamese boat people of the 70s were often raided multiple times by pirates as they tried to escape Vietnam. Japanese priates raided Asia for over 300 years. Could go on.
Modern piracy acounts for around $15 billion in losses per year. Bet the auto industry would like that money.

One more thing sorry I have to disagree although Pirate have influenced America tradition. I have to say Ninja's are cooler they have the history of edo era witch I done some research on. Its a great part of Japanese history I am not sure but I believe Europe started trading with Japan I may be wrong though.

I just had a philosophy on Pirates and Ninjas in the political world.
I consider the ninja like a conservative we living in hiding waiting we are always the trying to strike the hardest where it hits. For this example I use the conservatives in Hollywood and Conservative talk radio.
While I see the pirates as liberals stealing and using what they can find to survive. Example Blago using anything and everything he can try to keep his senate seat. Using dirty tricks to confuse the enemy.

3 reasons that your reasons mean nothing about why pirates are cooler. I will explain :)
1. Pirates may have had a larger PUBLIC impact on the world. But ninjas lurk in the shadows and do the dirty work you don't hear about in the history book.
2. You never know where a ninja will pop up. Ever see Beverly Hills Ninja with Chris Farley?
3. You never hear stories about ninjas and don't know if they are true because they rely on stealth and secrecy.

What Dana means, I think, is that a ninja with an equal impact on society to a pirate is better than a pirate because the ninja did it anonymously. Dana claims that having an impact on society anonymously takes more skills than doing it openly.
If, instead of making your vids, you haxed youtube and edited various important peoles' comments and changed everyone's perceptions and conclusions, you will have had a huge anonymous impact (assuming you don't get caught). i.e. ninja
