what is great about something like this is it has all the 'whoooo!' factor of fireworks without all the atmospheric pollution that sometime comes with setting off combustion based fireworks. Its also rather nice to look at visually.

This is awesome. Great work. Universal Studios Orlando does a much smaller versioin of this during Halloween Horror Nights so I knew it was not computer animation. But the USO version is just a basic building falling down.

For those who are confused. it's a static projection over the entire building, with only small sections visible by a pseudo spotlight shape. it's 3d, projected. done many times. looks great though!

For those that think it's computer animation...it's live!

They are using Digital Lights and other Media Servers, like High End DL3 units, or a Green Hypo Hypotizer. You can see the lights often moving across the front of of the building as the visual media is played back in sync with the light's position. Usually, this is all designed by a creative team made up of a lighting designer, media designer and a couple of lighting programmers.

@joosieroosie There are no lights on the building. This is done purely is with projectors. VVVV is the software often used to drive this type of animation. We've done a couple of things like this in the past and it's a very effective medium.
