You can not take real muay thai or boran in the U s you can take kickboxing but it isnt the same. You can however do what i do GO TO THAILAND!

na, ja stimmt alles so einigermaßen.

Platt gesagt ist Boran die ursprüngliche Kriegskunst mit der sich die Herrschaften damals bekämpft haben.

Muay Thai ist dann wie schon gesagt worden ist die abgeschwächtere Form der Kriegskunst Boran oder Chaya um es als Volkssport ausüben zu können.

Aber alles stammt vom sogenannten Krabi Krabong (kurz und Langwaffe) erst wenn die Waffen unbrauchbar wurden bediente man sich des Boran.

Chaya ist eine Form des Boran wobei mehr mit den Ellebogen gearbeit wird.

idk much about this wuts the difference between muay thai and muay boran is it just in boran they use the rope wrapings?

@Jschwan1 Boran simply means old. It's basically the same like with boxing. Before it got universal rules there was just a very loose set of regulations and of course no modern equipment. That's why in Muay Boran you see rope wrappings instead of modern ones and gloves. The style is a bit different to modern Muay Thai and there are also different techniques (e.g. those where you jump off your opponents leg) or some that utilise weapons.
