I don't think people comment enough about this, but BoC are amazing creative drummers. I love the opening muffled distant hip hop drum riff. Then a second syncopated drum beat kicks in and overlaps with the first, which yields a brilliant result. They are also great at including scratching in their percussion. Even at 4:10 when there's a traditional beat, they know when to make the drums stop and start again, and when to make the hi-hat more rapid. electronic or not, this is a great composition

It's true, also for me personally, that the focus of discussion is mostly aimed towards the melodies, harmonies and what-not, while the DRUMS always play a huge role as well. It's easy to skip the drums and move right on to the melodie's awe's, so yeah good note there mate.

My younger brother made this Cat soup AMV so long ago. The memory of the emotions at the time are as surreal and nostalgic as the song itself is to me. Strangely enough, this is the one AMV I don't remember watching a work in progress of. It just was.

He also made one of "Olson" by Boards of Canada to Cowboy Bebop. "Come to Daddy" by Aphex Twin to Lain (I think it's on YouTube as "Come to daddy bear mix"). I don't know if any other ones are online anymore. This was the last AMV he made.

Pi did change my view of math...math does NOT describe everything...like color...which is why the film is in black and white. color, although bandwidth frequencies of electromagnetic radiation, is only a perception by the perceived, and no math formula will describe the color green to a blind person, or a machine (robot), etc.

Made for a better film in my opinion. I know B&W is cheaper to process (film) but Aronofsky ain't hurtin for cash. If he was, would've shot the movie with a digital video cam and applied overlaying filters to emulate film which is pretty easy, and convincing on B&W.

He's really gifted in my opinion (and many others).
