wnju had a lot of wrestling on its channel. the old uwf was played on here also. thank god for that cuz the wwf was getting very stagnant at this point
This was a Wed. night tradition back in the day on Channel 47. Use to play right after the news. Channel 41 out of Paterson use to play Jim Crockett's promotion with Hugo doing the comentary in Spanish, they also played a promotion from Los Angeles on saturdays. But CWF totally kicked ass when Eddie Graham ran the promotion.
I wish I could have watched some of the great matches which took place in FCW. From what I have seen in video clips and read in old magazines, this federation sounded quite awesome and possesed a lot of talent.
I just looked up the TV station from the ident @ 2:16 to make sure there wasn't a Newark in Florida or something, but it turns out the video is from a station in New Jersey... was it common for wrestling programs to air outside of their territory like this?
@Devitron5000 You know, that is a good question. Unfortunately, I don't have an answer for that question because I have no idea. I have never even thought of or have been faced with that situation. Sorry I wasn't any help to you on that.
wnju was a spanish staion in linden nj back in the 80s except when it showed wresting only station north of philly that had florida mid south and wccw. only time i watched this channel and broke me into redneck rasslin.
@dirtywhiteboy72 I knew about Georgia, but that was only because they just happened to be on WTBS when Turner put it on cable. For CWF to be aired in New Jersey, someone had to have knowingly approached a TV station in another established territory.

In 1983, Mr T was the definition of tough. To have two clones of him was hilarious
