That's a tough one because they all have their charms - Kryptone for mid 60's rasp; Hellbender for 70's rawk and the Bog for Fuzzface stuff. However, the one I've taken to gig with the most is the BOG. I can rely on its silicon transistor a bit more than the Ge (Australian temperatures are extreme and they mess with Germanium trannys).
Yeah i have the Kryptone which i'm not completely sold on.I had an opportunity to pick up a 2nd hand BOG last week and i gotta say it's the nicest fuzz i've ever played so i think i'll sell the Kryptone.
The two of them together stack really well though...
Speaking of using these pedals with the organ, which of these 3 pedals would hold the lower frequency intact ? I've used many pedals but didn't work out because the bass was lost .
Thanks for the vid! I recently subscribed to proguitarshop, and i'm glad i found this vid to really put the differences in tone of these pedals into perspective. Personally, I really like the kind of "tighter" sound the Hellbender has. I like all of the pedals too. Had trouble really telling them all apart when watching the individual videos days apart, but hearing them all one after another makes it really easy to spot the differences between them all.
proguitarshop, they uploaded a vid and i started checking out these pedals, cause I'm a fuzz fanatic still searching for "the fuzz" if you know what i mean, the BOG seems pretty good from watching your demos, I'm considering :P
Just compare the audio quality of this to the new ProGuitarshop video... in my opinion, it just goes to show that as far as dirt pedals are concerned, they always had a bit of a problem, no matter if it was the SoHo or the Dlx. Reverb.
I like the BOG the best. Sounds warmest, doesn't have the grit of the other two and It's easy on the ears. Great demo.

Thanks for this - I've been trying to decide which to get. I think I'll go with Kryptone. Very cool.

It has a little more upfront biting presence & dirty growl.

Hey Burgerman thanks for the demo.
As somebody who has had the luxury of owning all three which one do you prefer?

@pianist007
If you plugged your Hammond into a Kenneth Cole Oxford Shoe it would sound good.

Umm.. how come these Deep Trip videos are suddenly popular. Has someone put them up on a forum or something?
Burgerman666 2 years ago
Proguitarshop is selling them now and people are probably checking out their videos and yours here on you tube.
I ordered the Hellbender partly due to your demo.
Thanks for posting them!

Hellbender for me

The Hellbender sounds dead on Jimmy Page's fuzz tone (he used a modded MKII I believe) in his early Zeppelin -Telecaster times. Nasty, in a good way.

Kryptone for me. :)

Nvm Im stupid you have individual demos on each of these pedals :p
Rambo29 2 years ago
Which fuzz territory would you place these in? Tonebender, Big Muff, or Fuzz face?
Rambo29 2 years ago
BOG is based off of a fuzz face
Hellbender is bassed off of a Colorsound Tonebender MKII
and Kryptone is based off of a Vox Tonebender

thanks man

Cool fuzzes and demo's as always Brett. Really like the artwork on them, but I'd have to say I loved the BOG the best because of its smoothness.
