Dan gave an interview to Time magazine (when HBP was released) when he recalled that, during the end of OotP filming, Gary actually asked him if he had been a good Sirius (believe it or not!!) And poor Dan, it seems, had quite a time convincing Gary that he had done a wonderful job as Sirius...and both of them were quite emotional on the last day. Dan said, "Working with me had clearly meant a lot to him, and so, it was dream come true for me".

Gary Oldman is right up there with Brando, Dean, De Niro, Pacino, Bale, Depp, Ledger and many others who simply immerse themselves into the imaginary world in which the character exist in so they can bring him to life in such a way that you beleive they they are that person. you should try mastering 1 or 2 foregin accents, after awhile you start to slip in and out of the subconsciously

i like to affect and english and australian one (theyre the two easiest, probably because theyre so similar) and sometimes ill find myself adressing freinds and family with those voices

its not too hard to do either, i reccomend it for a good laugh and as you can see by Mr. oldman, sometimes is humorously hard to control :)

Siriusly, this guy is phenominal. Goes to show you Oscars don't matter. Sirius is my favorite character in HP. When I was in school, I was reading my astronomy textbook in class, and there was the constellation Sirius, and the person who read couldn't pronounce it. Me and my HP Sirius obsessed buds were highlighting the name and looking at each other.

it's amazing how he brought out the madness and lunacy of sirius in the film PoA, and later after being rescued showed us the true sirius ...gary talking so fondly about the kids (& esp dan) being so professional, focussed and dedicated (also called them 'delightful' btw, but that was in another interview), it's just amazing.

I think Gary Oldman could have played a better Joker than Heath Ledger. I mean, he played a crazy Sid Vicious, and also the character he played in the movie State of Grace was pretty good too. Either way, that guy is one hell of an actor, he is one of the rare actors who can completely disguise himself and look unrecognizable without doing to much to himself physically. Billy Bob Thorton is kind of like that, but now he makes shitty movies like Mr. Woodcock.
