OMG this is sooooo good! doing this on a hardware, beats the shit out any daw. I used to do this in Pro Tools, Logic, FL, Reaper and so on, but I will never do it again. Heaven isn't a place on earth, it's a thing called maschine!

Im running 1.5.1 - i did this step to duplicate the pattern - but its not duplicating it - is this dfferent in 1.5.1?

@ladygodia Khyrsis, 9th Wonder and Afrojack are three VERY notable producers who've used FL Studio.

In the right hands FL Studio is a monster. Real music? You realize that music is subjective to the likes and dislikes of the listener?

I own Real Gear... I BOUGHT Protools, Ableton and FL Studio. I was given Logic as a gift. I have a guitar and a maschine and an AMP rack and Preamps and channel strips and BLAH BLAH BLAH..

Stil ldoesn't mean sometimes I make good music just using FL Studio.

@SenseTheKidd FL is a toy. It's just a sequencing program for people who don't have playing skills to use.

Its just like every other daw. The time stretching in FL studio is pretty cool also. The stock synths and plug-ins can get you a long way only rivaled by Pro-Tools and maybe Logic.

If you don't actually KNOW the program then don't comment on being a toy. I've recorded FULL bands in FL just because I wanted to.

The only thing I wouldn't use it for is mixing and thats just preference.

@SenseTheKidd It's a toy, it does all the work for you. Try making a beat from scratch the way every real producer does and tell me how you feel about FL then when people make one of thos 2 minute rinky dink tracks on it that take 1/4 the skill and think they're hot.

If you ask me. (A graduate from a Music school where we took engineering and electronic music classes as well as analog classes.)

FL studio is complex when you learn it. Programs and sequencers like Ableton and REason are SO much easier. Even Protools production value is decreased because its midi sequencing is easy! When you know how to make a full song in FL studio then you have to use complex routing and sequencing just for starters.
