  • if that's all the time that you got..

then I'd rather not waste my life on hold..

  • 240... we meet again.

    Excellent song though.

  • why would someone dislike this?? D:

  • what are these fawking chords ugh ?

  • This is me coming back from Afghanistan earlier this year. Fourty three years old. Wife moved out of the house with some guy. Vacated ten minutes before we rolled back into town. But dats how it goes, god damn. Just gonna let these bad times roll.

  • A heartbreaking song. Still one of my favorites.

  • Paul's been "letting the bad times roll" since he stopped writing kick ass tunes since Tim and Pleased to Meet Me''.

  • nice guitar

  • Paul always has known how to make a song for everyone to live by.

  • i like cats

  • Great, simply great. My interpretation of the "just add water" line is that he is saying that attempts at a "quick fix" in order to appease him just lets him down. For example, if you were in the throes of despair because a loved one had died, and someone attempted to bring you out of that "hole" by simply saying, "things will get better". Well, how disappointing! How was that person really helping or improving your mood? If you want to help, you have to invest more time than that.

  • westy the besty! Great American- I have all his music / Replacements TIm and Pleased to meet me are best SO FAR but He is alive and well.

  • This guy is amazing. He sings with so much honesty, and passion. It never ceases to amaze me. I love this song, i wish it could be something everyone could live by. Paul Westerberg, i could never thankyou enough for sharing such beautiful music with us. You are amazing.

  • where did u get this

  • What a Fucking badass.

    I LOVE PAUL WESTERBERG!

  • yeah, I'd have to go with "instantly"

  • Goddamn. Just goddamn. Honest as can be.

  • This is the song I think about when bad stuff starts to happen for me, mentally. It starts to empower me I think fuck the bad times use it to inspire art and music instead of wallowing in it ya know.

  • Does anybody know the tuning he's using on this?

  • I d' like to know it. =/

    Which the tuning he's using?!!

    Amazing song to play!

  • I recorded this song on my guitar!

The tuning is different, but the way is the same.

  • Again, does anybody know what he means by "just add water" ?

  • i'm thinkin he means like, 'instantly' or 'can happen easily'. Like you know how a lot of easy cooking food products say JUST ADD WATER and that's all you have to do. Hard to explain I guess.

  • Ah, I see what ur gettin' at. Seems like a good interpretation. I never thought of that. Thank you. :)

  • Westerberg is a master of the double- entendre.

Just add water can mean "instantly", as 3 snakes1charm said above, and it can also be another way of saying "crying" .

"Just add water, I'm disappointed" could be that he's crying and sad, or someone else is crying and making him sad.

  • Yea, Westy is a genious. The only thing I could think of was if he just had ordered a glass whiskey and telling the bartender 'just add water'.

  • Like all of those things "Just add Water and it turns into...whatever"...It's another way of saying how easily he is disappointed...

  • Sin dudas el mejor.

  • The best thing that never happened...

  • Great song off of Stereo/Mono

    "Just add water, I'm dissapointed"

    Incredible line

  • Hmm, what does he mean by that?

  • @ztasfarasIknow i love this song, but i dont think its that good a line, everyone goes on about it

  • Another great video! Would love to see more.

  • Pretty sure these videos are from Spring/Summer 2002 when PW was promoting "Stereo". Rolling Stone had a feature on "The A-List with Anthony DeCurtis" where they included 3-4 video clips of different songs. I'm pretty sure he also did "2 Days 'Til Tomorrow" and probably one or two others. Hopefully Blasty ups them as well! ;)

  • Nice Blast. When was this?
