you can join the regular army at 17 with parents approval. Theres also a program where u can go to basic over the summer of your junior and senior year, then finnish out your last year of highschool. then go to AIT and be i the regular army
@dekota94 No, you cannot just simply switch over to active. You will either have to wait until you finish your service obligations on your enlistment contract or get prematurely dischaged. Then, you will have to enlist all over again into the active duty component of the Army.

After the the Army handed it over the Marines, Marines launched a Assualt and had to call in the 2nd Stryker Brigade(US Army. actually, after the hussein was toppled the city was peaceful and us forces moved in without being fired upon. later, locals protested outside a school and demanded it be opened back up and that us forces/the army units like you said leave. they fired upon the protesters. later more organized ambushes on US forces started to occur, and fallujah was no longer the safe place we once thought. control was lost and the army pulled it's units out and control was turned over to the marines.
then the marines completely surrounded the city and began to move inward. they killed hundreds of insurgents and most enemy strongholds. then, in a political move to hopefully gain back iraqi approval rating of the war, control was turned over to a local iraqi security force armed with US weapons. that proved to be a retarded idea. so MARINES were tasked again with gaining control of the city and this time secured the whole city. and then turned it back over to the army once it was safe.
also the marines do more than just fly with the president. they guard the whitehouse, they guard camp david where he vacations. in fact camp david is technically a marine corps base. andd what are you talking about saying the marines can't deploy on a moments notice??? that's their specialty. everyone knows the marines are better trained than the army. everyone knows they're better killers. even civilians know that.

well right now its really hard to get a job in the navy cause they're downsizing, and the airforce has an incredibly slow advancement rate. So i'd say army would be your best bet for advancement and getting a job. There are so many people trying to join the navy and usaf cause they're afraid to join the army or marines it can be hard to get an enlistment in those branches. So like i said, go Army and you cant go wrong.

You do know that Fallujah was taken first by the 3rd i.d and 82nd Airborne(US Army), right? After the the Army handed it over the Marines, Marines launched a Assualt and had to call in the 2nd Stryker Brigade(US Army. Also the Old Gaurd(3rd Infantry Regiment US Army) are the Presidents Escort. Marines just fly the President on "Marine One".
P.s Rangers can deply on a moments notice. Marines cant

actually, after the hussein was toppled the city was peaceful and us forces moved in without being fired upon. later, locals protested outside a school and demanded it be opened back up and that us forces/the army units like you said leave. they fired upon the protesters. later more organized ambushes on US forces started to occur, and fallujah was no longer the safe place we once thought. control was lost and the army pulled it's units out and control was turned over to the marines.

then the marines completely surrounded the city and began to move inward. they killed hundreds of insurgents and most enemy strongholds. then, in a political move to hopefully gain back iraqi approval rating of the war, control was turned over to a local iraqi security force armed with US weapons. that proved to be a retarded idea. so MARINES were tasked again with gaining control of the city and this time secured the whole city. and then turned it back over to the army once it was safe.

the president is protected by marines. whenever you see the president speaking or someone else important and you see all the flags of each military branch and the US flag look where the marine corps flag is in relation to all the others. when you swear into the military look where the marine flag is. the marines saved the army's ass in korea. there were two battles of fallujah both of which were won by marines. you wanna know why there was two battles??? even the army knows marines are better.

well right now its really hard to get a job in the navy cause they're downsizing, and the airforce has an incredibly slow advancement rate. So i'd say army would be your best bet for advancement and getting a job. There are so many people trying to join the navy and usaf cause they're afraid to join the army or marines it can be hard to get an enlistment in those branches. So like i said, go Army and you cant go wrong.

Using G.I. Bill for college.
After college, try to get into the Special Forces.
Then after about 20-25 years of Army, transfer to the Guard.

MTASairsoft, I hate to join their side, but close it. You're an airsoft player, and a blatantly disrespectful one at that, who would wear the uniform and rank of men who died doing their duty, which is most certainly not a game. I should also point out that under Federal law, it's illegal.
Everyone had flak jackets until President Bush came, pumped more money into researching better protective gear, and now we have actual ceramic composite armor that will stop assault rifle bullets.

Better men than we have died at the hands of the enemy, who cared not for which uniform they wore.
He'll say next that the Army is full of cowards. Cowards like MSG Gary Gordon, SFC Randall Shughart, SFC Paul Smith, SPC Ross McGinnis, SGT Leigh Ann Hester, and SGT Seth Howard.
Out of respect for the Navy, LT Michael Murphy and MA2 Michael Monsoor (who was a Quartermaster before becoming a SEAL!).

The Marine Corps will fight a war just as well as any Soldier, Sailor, Airman, or Coast Guardsman will (who now may serve with the SEAL Teams!); I have nothing but respect for my brothers-in-arms of all services. Who I have no respect for, is wannabes who pretend to actually know something, and insult when they've never experienced it, like nork21 here.
