Hayek warned against unions for the workers in a government bureaucracy where there is no built-in competitive force of a functioning market to determine the fair price of labor. me: It's really a shame. During much of the twentieth century, by ensuring profits were distributed as fairly as the division of labor, the labor unions helped protect our free-market market system.
