en cuanto a programación no cabe duda que GNU/linux es el mejor, en cuanto a diseño gráfico mac os x, y windows es la plataforma entandar para los usuarios normales y juegos.

El tree bot es un buen momento para testear los 3 mas conocidos sistemas operativos. Mi pc es ht 3.000 1gb ram 120 gb HH Ps4800 mx se asus y corren la raja los 3 , excepto Mac que no toma ni audio y red, pero el resto ok.

Ojo que para que boote bien debe estar la particion de Mac como activa o primaria, y el orden de Install es Windows, Linux y luego Mac.

La lentitud en la carga de Ubuntu ya esta solucionada, aumente la particion Swap como decia cucho69 y mejoro muchisimo

si pero hay miles de programas que Ubunru desearia poder correr, por ejemplo: No puedes instalar muchos juegos, ni productos de diseno como los de Adobe Flash, Fireworks, Photoshop, osea para un disenador, Ubuntu es una perdida de tiempo, es mejor para disenar la Mac, a la Mac y el Mac OS X nadie le gana digan lo que digan, y Windows tambien es muy bueno pero siempre hay un resentimiento entre nosotros los usuarios de Mac y los de Windows.

Debes tener una partición swap de Linux muy pequeña, ampliala y mejorará el buteo. Tengo Ubuntu 7.04 con Beryl instalado y arranca muchísimo más rápido que Windows. Ni hablar de cuánto mejor es, por lejos.

im dual-booting ubuntu and XP at the moment, I have got 3 partitions though, could stick osx on it. I use GRUB boot loader, its free and easy to configure if you have basic linux knowlage.

its called partitioning...theres loads of free softwrae, but do carefully read readme files and books on partitoning as it can be hard to do, and if done incorrectly can cause serious data loss
