hmmmmmmmmmmmm...can understand the 800 dollars for repair...but there programs out there that can recover the data - the files that are 'mirrored' on the hard drive. I have been able to recover files that have been deleted and emptied from the recycle bin...using a free program called RECUVA. . .just some food for thought.
