Such an enlightening film. It is bewildering how one person can carry such weight and not fold from it, but use that force to mold himself anew into an enigma and champion for all of mankind. Malcolm X is an archetype for all to aspire to be. I hope I live to see the day that he gets his due credit in American society. Thank you Malcolm for showing us your beautiful transformation. For it is not religion that is evil or does bad, it is poeple that use it to their own advantage when it is only meant to guide you, make u do good and right choices in life. Eg. And this movie doesn't motivate anyone to be a great human being like Malcolm, who lived by principles and truth. I'm not just complaining. In fact, pledge to make a much better film than this crap. One that makes us stand up for the injustices around the world, one that doesn't overshadow the character of Malcolm through drama. And most importantly- is historically accurate.

This movie is pants! and DID NOT DO JUSTICE TO MALCOLM X! Anyone who has read his autobiography will know what I'm talking about. The amount missing from this story is phenomenal. Spike lee is a shit director who loves over acting and over-dramatization. Denzel was alright. But the script sucked. I couldn't stop laughing at the hon elijah mohammad, was very poorly acted.

i think its really important to clarify things about Malcolm.

pre 1963 he was a member of 'The Nation of Islam', who are a Black sepratist group, and who are NOT Muslims, even if they think they are. some of their beliefs are anti-Islamic, ie 'White People are the Devil' etc, seperation of the colours etc.

he left The Nation of islam and adopted 'Sunni Islam', he then went on to Hajj etc.

he became more tolerant which is why the Nation/ FBI Shit him. He Died a True Muslim and HERO

Bill Cosby was one of the associate executive producers who help pay for this film to be made because hollywood didn't want this movie to be seen...and of course it recieved no Oscar nods whatsoever and this is by far is GREAT MOVIE MAKING AT IT'S BEST, ACTORS & DIRECTION...absolutely fantastic film.
