    great song!1

  • is this the song from the Extra commercial?

  • I think Jonathan Demme, the director of "Something Wild" is a big N.O. fan, saintandews. I'm pretty sure that he has either used their music in other films or directed one of their videos. Good little film, that - and a great video.

  • Yes, he directed the 10 minutes clip for Perfect Kiss

  • I'm in love. Victoria, I love you.

  • My favourite New Order song. I first heard this song in a 80's movie called 'Something Wild ' when a white convertable corvette drives past with this song coming from the stereo. It took me years to find this song back then.

  • Up Down Turn Around please dont let me hit the ground . .. <3 nicee!!!

  • great music for FALL and WINTER!~

  • I cn't believe I've never seen this video before, I love it

  • Mi Gab!!!

    lo soñe!!!

  • Gillian Gilbert.

    Early Eighties.

  • trainspotting!!!

  • fucked on good shit. this is quality. No one can argue that the lads from New Order were true Mancunians. Not afraid to say what they thought or have a good time. happy days!!!

  • Brilliant Tune!

    D&E

  • Well, at least, how you like them so much more than THE CURE, they get robed by you [nd u say to luv them?] and sweet Robert is safe,

yaaay keep it that way n_n. . .

And, oh well, dont worry, its understandable that you dont comprehend THE CURE, i mean if you steal the music you say to love. . .

    Cheers mate :D!

  • Has anyone ever seen victoria bergsman actually smile?

  • she grins at 2:03...

  • Perfect

  • Hello jonnieboy! I was 17 years old when I first listed to this great song at the radio in 1982. It was 3 o'clock in the night and Alan Bangs played it 3times in a row and after it I was totally confused, upset, enthusiastic, on the verge of tears. It was the time I first felt in love - my boyfriend was a Joy Divison fan and Love will tear us apart and Temptation brought us through our common time. Now I am 43 years old and hearing this song means to have all that feeling again like in 1982.

  • This song is one of the greatest of all time.

  • beautiful, always. never enough of this track...

  • D.E.B.S.

    This song is the bomb.

  • this is SUCH a good song.

  • Is This The Real Video Of New Order?

  • The girl of this clip is Victoria Bergsman, who is well-known to be the female singer of "Young Folks" by Peter Bjorn and John

  • the woman in the video looks completly out of it, taken from a psychiatric.

    love new order. R.I.P.

  • ska revival was 79/80 alewisuk...but i know what you mean mate :)

  • I wish they'd build a time machien to take us back to the 80s

  • I would love to have been born in 1960. 16 for Ska revival in 1976 (Madness/Specials), 17/18 for punk (Pistols/Buzzcocks/Skids) and then a rest for new wave and romantics before New Order, The Smiths, Stone Roses, Pulp, Manics in the mid to late-80s. Perfect!

  • Yeah - I'm born 1960, and you're so right !!!

  • simplemente fantastico

  • love the song, propably my fav. from N.O.

    like the clip also!

  • Launched on my first proper E to this song. It will always have a special place in my heart.

  • terrible dancer!!

  • I live with this song on infinite repeat.

  • Thank you--not to be too terribly sentimental, but I am listening and watching this with tears in my eyes--such perfect memories and such a perfect song. Cheers!

  • quite radknees

  • This girl needs to get a job. I hear they're hiring over at Initech

  • One of my favourite ever tunes!

Reminds me of the times, trawling Leeds & Manchester, looking for clothes, that stood out from the crowd! The video compliments the tune perfectly......well done!

  • this vid isn't as good as the song

  • Thoughts from above hit the people down below. People in this world, we have no place to go.

Imagine they did this before Blue Monday. This, and not that song (great as it was in its own right) should have been their breakout hit.

  • awesome, this and the orignal version are both brilliant

  • Top tune by a top band. Has to be in my top 10 songs of all time.

  • brilliant !! brilliant!!! song!! Love These Guys

  • Victoria from the Concretes

  • I love this song !!

  • good god!can't we just all agree that new order is awesome and let it go at that?why do you all have to get on here and argue?theres enough anger in the world!peace and love everyone!

  • heavychevy you're absolutely right...it's an awesome song and these other people need to shut the fuck up..

  • if i want to listen to good New Order music, i come here to youtube...if i wanted to hear about politics, i would turn on CNN...just enjoy the music people

  • ok Luckydog - whatever - but you're still a wanker :)

  • wow you seem like a very angry person

  • Creo que lo mejor es que en lugar de estarse peleando por las palabritas que usan se pongan a jalar

  • You definitely do not speak very American English using words like "limey wankers."

  • Luckydog...

    last week you were German....

    Now you're an Ausie...

Why don't you just come right out of the closet and declare your true self.....

    100% Wanker!

  • Bet you only came across Temptation when you were looking up New Order and other Nazi phrases. Fucking racist.

  • Ah so you're one of the ManU fans who only started supporting them when they were good?

  • Do you have any suggestions? Perhaps gas them all? Is that what you're thinking? Not racist and then you make comments like that. Wake up to yourself.

  • omg!they're soooooo great!

  • This is such a cool video!

  • A racist German?

  • Always liked joy division but for some reason never listened to new order. Big fucking mistake!!!!

  • Wow Luckydog really doesnt have a clue about...well anything. Moron.

    Anyway, this song is amazing!!

  • lmao, its just a video. If its meant to represent something so massive, then it should just be said instead of encrypted in a video for dyke's like you to make sense of.

Amazing song. Its nothing about Germany in the 1940s or whatever the fuck.

  • I find it so interesting how a New Order video can spark such odd ramblings about nationality, war and politics. New Order must have made a larger impact on the world than previously thought! :)

  • Then you have to know that here in Italy everyone knows what U.S.A. did to save us from dictatorships in the second WW... It's a reply to the previous message, haven't read what was said earlier. I thank US for this as everyone did in this country since then...

  • Wow, a young European who believes America had anything to do with the Allied victory in 1942. How come the only Europeans now under 40 who know America helped them win a war are GERMANS? To listen to young Brits, French, Eastern Europeans, even Dutch and Scandinavians, one would think my father's entire generation sat home and listened to your war on the radio; they didn't. My father was born in Germany, grew up in American and won the purple heart fighting his cousins. DL Uber Alles.

  • no its cus you're german.

  • LOL

    heavychevy to the rescue!

  • just enjoy the music video you bunch of wankers

  • at least i'm not german.

  • sorry man but i have to agree with robinn07 about the need for sarcasm. i mean the fade to color is such an essential part of the video that you gotta be incredibly stupid or out of your mind to ignore it. that last comment was kinda stupid, btw. i mean you're only giving justice to those who hate muslims.

Anyways... Definitely a great song, apparently Dan Boeckner of Wolf Parade said it was his favorite one of all time. Oh and its an awesome video too

  • It's friendly sarcasm, jesus mate. I'm just saying its hard NOT to notice. you're not special. just shut up and enjoy the music, fuck.

  • no, everyone else in the world is colourblind

    serioulsy man...

  • rolon!

  • What an excellent video.

  • Hilarious she just picks it up, walks away.. reminds me of a Perry ferrel song.

  • que chida cancion

  • I bought the 45 yesterday. :)

  • (for heavychevy631) : i confirm this video clip was made in Paris...rue d'Orsel - 75018 Paris...just because of the names shop "Tiv Tov Ameublemement" (furnitures). Great song for ever. Michael

  • My GOD, talking about irreplacible great music! NO rules (and will continue). Cheers!

  • Wonderfull... Moby's version is nice too. But this is irreplaceable

  • Classic Song.. Fantastic! Nobody produces excellent music like this anymore!

  • Classic song, reminds me of the mid 80s and tartan special......

  • no idea if it was the original video, as for the location i think i heard somebody mention it was paris?...not sure...the similarity thing was because the woman in the video steals a record and if you remember the winona rider thing was she got caught stealing also...hope this helps a little bit

  • Definitely France. 39 sec. in, the sign reads ameublement (furnishing). The woman in the video is Victoria Bergsman, whom came up with the concept as well (hence the temptation of Victoria). She was the lead singer of Swedish group The Concretes and recently provided guest vocals for the hit Peter Bjorn and John single "Young Folks." I also would like to know if this considered "official," or if she just did it as a tribute/homage to a band that's probably been influential in her musical career.

  • ...bolts from above hit the people down below, people in this world we have no place to go...magic

  • check out bernard's short 80's shorts in the "Temptation Live '84" version of this song...pretty funny and reminds me of how rediculous the clothing style of the 80's was and at the same time how great the music was

  • Classic my freinds, Lets all meet at Crewe station with zero cash, Takes me back, Cheers

  • man, this song gives me chills still every single time i hear it, some of my friends think im crazy and nostalgic but i just tell them they dont know what good music really is...this song is a testament to a great era of music...long live New Order...peace

  • actually the documentary "Joy Division" just came out lately...just saw it last week and its freaking brilliant - a must see for any joy division fan

  • That movie "Joy Division" was wonderfully well done! Another great one about Ian Curtis is "control" if you're interested

  • what was the deal with joy division and more importantly ian curtis? anyone?

  • You have the internet at your fingertips. The deal with Ian Curtis was that he didn't look for anything himself, he just asked questions on youtube.

  • I'm 14,

my dad got me into New Order, and now I wish I lived in the 80's. haha

  • that's awesome! I wish I knew about new order when i was 14!

  • know what you mean dude...great musical era...they dont make songs like this anymore kid

  • and i've never seen anyone quite like u before

  • i love how diane say's that on trainspotting.

  • yep :)

  • Better than any of the videos New Order did! I love New Order, but they weren't much on the videos. Excellent job! And I could totally see wynona stealing this record!

  • i love this one!! the video is cool too!

  • good

  • awesome song!

  • 80s shal live on forever

  • One of my favorites and everyone I've ever met who loves new order is beautiful ;)
