I think Jonathan Demme, the director of "Something Wild" is a big N.O. fan, saintandews. I'm pretty sure that he has either used their music in other films or directed one of their videos. Good little film, that - and a great video.
My favourite New Order song. I first heard this song in a 80's movie called 'Something Wild ' when a white convertable corvette drives past with this song coming from the stereo. It took me years to find this song back then.
One of the most talented musical groups ever!I will never get tired of them, not in a million years!I love how you can just listen to "The Brst Of N.O." over and over and you don't ever get tired of it.
is this the official video for this song or is this a video made by a fan, either way its really good but if anyone could tell me id appreciate it, im just curious.
Vídeo pra lá de bom!! Música show e garota do clipe com um lance legal!! Gostosa e convidando a tos a curtirem o que poderá rolar; ou não... Sei lá, mas gostei muito mesmo....
fucked on good shit. this is quality. No one can argue that the lads from New Order were true Mancunians. Not afraid to say what they thought or have a good time. happy days!!!
this band doesnt send me back, not foward either.I loved these guys more than any 80s band, more than the cure, thats fukd up huh?THey were so dead center of that time.I never have loved except for a few bands and a few movies, its just so fustrating that its like a thing,so i really dont think i sold out yet,and my life has yet to begin.I hope I see them when I'm there,I know there will only be a few and I only know that I will know when its going to happen.
I was 17 years old when I first listed to this great song at the radio in 1982. It was 3 o'clock in the night and Alan Bangs played it 3times in a row and after it I was totally confused, upset, enthusiastic, on the verge of tears. It was the time I first felt in love - my boyfriend was a Joy Divison fan and Love will tear us apart and Temptation brougt us through our common time. Now I am 43 years old and hearing this song means to have all that feeling like in 1982. I love it!
Bought this record when i was 11 years old in 1982 thinking it would be the same as blue monday. Blew my mind and started a life long love affair with New Order and all thing Factory. Peter Savilles beautifull design inspired my career as a graphic designer. The Factory crew have turned so many peoples heads with there inspired, beautiful, powerful and history making antics. Lets hope the kids of today can top it!!!
Hello jonnieboy! I was 17 years old when I first listed to this great song at the radio in 1982. It was 3 o'clock in the night and Alan Bangs played it 3times in a row and after it I was totally confused, upset, enthusiastic, on the verge of tears. It was the time I first felt in love - my boyfriend was a Joy Divison fan and Love will tear us apart and Temptation brought us through our common time. Now I am 43 years old and hearing this song means to have all that feeling again like in 1982.
This track is without doubt my favourite of all time. It means more to me and gives me more mostly good memories of my teenage years then any other song. Being from Edinburgh I was pleased when it was included in Trainspotting. The video's not bad either.
I would love to have been born in 1960. 16 for Ska revival in 1976 (Madness/Specials), 17/18 for punk (Pistols/Buzzcocks/Skids) and then a rest for new wave and romantics before New Order, The Smiths, Stone Roses, Pulp, Manics in the mid to late-80s. Perfect!
Thank you--not to be too terribly sentimental, but I am listening and watching this with tears in my eyes--such perfect memories and such a perfect song. Cheers!
Reminds me of the times, trawling Leeds & Manchester, looking for clothes, that stood out from the crowd! The video compliments the tune perfectly......well done!
good god!can't we just all agree that new order is awesome and let it go at that?why do you all have to get on here and argue?theres enough anger in the world!peace and love everyone!
if i want to listen to good New Order music, i come here to youtube...if i wanted to hear about politics, i would turn on CNN...just enjoy the music people
you are racist is you say there is a NON White Mud Invasion. I fucking hate it when peiople say "im Not racist" when the quite blatently are, no one own countries anyway there just land e evolved on you cant say what colour can come in and out fucking mugs, and australia was originally populated by black skined people the whites australians were just dirty prisoners from england so unless your aborigini your just the worst of the worst british.
Do you have any suggestions? Perhaps gas them all? Is that what you're thinking? Not racist and then you make comments like that. Wake up to yourself.
What I want to know is, where the hell did they find a vinyl pressing of the *original* "Temptation/Hurt" 12 inch to use as a prop? Are they still making those? Or did someone have the sense to keep it in his/her collection (unlike moi)?
Your right mate only when they became great,I saw Harry Gregg brutalised by Nat the Twat @ Wembley 1958,played for Stretford Boy's U16s on United's 2nd training ground in the mid 60s,its a fair cop!!!!
lmao, its just a video. If its meant to represent something so massive, then it should just be said instead of encrypted in a video for dyke's like you to make sense of.
Amazing song. Its nothing about Germany in the 1940s or whatever the fuck.
I find it so interesting how a New Order video can spark such odd ramblings about nationality, war and politics. New Order must have made a larger impact on the world than previously thought! :)
