I love the pictures of the Pit Bulls with the kids, this is absolutely true. My AmStaff will actually "protect" my tiny niece by keeping my Presa/APBT mix away from her, She just can't deal with him being near her. lol Now he would never hurt her, but I guess she just feels that she can't trust him. lol He is a clumsy 1 year old that is like over 100lbs after all. lol
Absolutely love your video. There is no better dog than a Pit that is treated right. Sweet, loyal and very loving. I have 4 girls and none of them are neither mean nor vicious. The worst thing they can do to you is lick you to death. They love every new person they meat and just want to talk and play. Even the 2 I have that are abuse rescues.

Those tails, they are like little whips, even got a whelt on the back of my leg from Backhoe, They all love me soooo much, cause I love them SOOOO much. He also wakes up my parents in the mornings by whipping his tail against the wall, which sounds like someone pounding on the door, which makes my parents dog bark, and then I feel like a jerk because everyone wakes up.. Mine is a severely abused rescue. He's living the high life now, and refuses to sleep on anything but a bed. I'll give it to him. He's earned it.

Well, all the pit bulls are dying and being euthanized in places like Denver, Co. because of breed discrimination laws. I've seen so many videos that break my heart about this loving and misunderstood breed. People who abuse animals are usually warming up for something bigger. BUT, just when I see this abuse and it makes me question mankind I find another story about rescue teams and hope. For the thugs who are one step ahead of the law, like J. @mindyleeify What about the pits I saw brought at a dog park on 3 separate times that attacked other dogs. One time a puppy was almost killed and the puppy was not even interacting w/ the pitbull. The owners and their children seemed shocked that their "beloved pit" could do such a thing. I asked if the pit was hit or tortured or put in a cage a lot. They said no, and the wife was in tears that her beloved pit could do such a thing. At least a chihuahua won't almost kill a dog
@1falconeye2 yes but have seen several chihuahas go after an infant or child! The point is that it's not a breed thing, it's a individual dog thing. What you saw was sad yes, but it was the owners responisibility to know their dogs and know their dispositions. My dog is not dog friendly, I know this so we don't go to the park (I have a huskey for the record). No one breed should be punished as a whole.
@1falconeye2 Pitbulls dont belong at dog parks, sounds like an irresponsible owner to me. Terriers will be terriers that all there is to it. All terriers have one thing in common, they were all bred to be combative with other animals. But on the flip side they are loving and loyal with people. They wont start a fight with another dog, but they wont back down either.
@stillayl No doubt...my apbt has better social skills then any dog I come in contact with. The problem is if another dog challenges an apbt they wont back down its in there genes to be dominate. I say this for the breeds overall reputation, at this point they really dont need anymore negative publicity. You really need to know the history of the breed to understand what im telling ya. When my brother first got his staffy (which is cross something and is thought to be cross with a pitbull) he had been a runt. He had a rash on the top of his head, either that or a cut. Yet he was so gentle! Now we have a cocker spaniel and his the chewing type!!
The only reason why our dog would be vicious is because he wants to protect us because he trusts us, he loves us.
Nothing bothers me more then to drive down the streets of downtown or east Los Angeles and see a young guy in a wife beater holding his dog with a boat chain as a collar and a spike collar. When I see this I know he chose this dog for 1 reason. Status. The dog usually appears neglected and untrained.

people forget the the great ENGLISH BULLDOG was originally bred for much of the same things, but it was a lot older. they had them in roman times!!! bulldogs were considered so dangerous they couldnt walk them within 1000ft of a city, not even if they were muzzled and in chains. but GOOD breeders bred it out of them and they are now one of the best dogs out there. people need to STOP breeding pits irresponsible and we can SAVE THEM!!! just like the bulldog = ]
My dog is part pitbull and I love her and take care of her she wont attack anyone enless they try to hurt me or my family. She is well trained and she is fun to play with. :)

@coffeeisawsumo however, with that said, that was a long time ago bloodlines wise in most of the dog's cases that they were bred for fighting, and the side effect of the being bred to be human passive with high pain tolerance is a dog that is great with kids for the most part. Hell, my last one was bred to fight, ended up a bait dog, and we adopted him from the pound and he was a great family dog. I used to be afraid of pit bulls, because when I was young, a pit bull attacked another dog in front of me, and they had to pry its mouth open to save the other dog. Then about 4 years later, we adopted a dog who turned out to be a pit bull. I was so scared I wouldn't go near him. But, he later on totally changed my view on the dogs. He's now my best friend. I used to be a hater, but now, I am a pure pitty lover, thanks to my rescue ^^

I own a rottweiler, a chihuahua, and a rottweiler/german shepherd mix. my neighbor owns a pittbull pup, and my best friend owned an ex-fighting pittbull. wanna know something funny? my chihuahua bites more than both of my rotts and the two pitts combined. my chihuahua bit one of the neighbor kids a few weeks ago, and the parent said it was fine. the pitt pup snapped at(no contact) the same kid because he grabbed her snout and the parent wanted her put down. I used to own an ex-fighting dog. He was such a beautiful character, although you could tell his background. He had a lot of smaller scars dotted about his body, but he had two really big ones. One went from just above his right eye down to his nose, which was also scared, and the other stretching about half-way across his belly. He didn't actually live for long, his life had a huge affect on his health, but I'm glad he had a few months of love and peace before he died. I'll always love him.
this video has been around for along time and its so true pitbulls are not vicous by birth, its their owners who make them the way they are. . . pitbulls were first bred to grab the bulls by the nose to hold them down to brand them or to hold them down that is why they are so much willing to learn and please their owners ... its not right how people abuse and neglect and MURDER these beautiful dogs. @onekinkstar there were several other dogs in the pack with the pitbull attacking me. There was a lab, a collie, and several mutts. The only one that was super aggressive and strong enough in the jaw to kill me was the pitbull. i saw it in his eyes too. he wanted to kill me. first hand experience, trumps anything you white trash clowns have to say.

That said, I've been on both sides of the issue: my Grandmother's dog's leg was all chewed up by the neighbor's pit, but we rescued a red nose pit puppy that had been set on fire and dragged behind a car. In spite of that, she loves people. They often ARE what you make them, and you'd be lower than an animal to think they deserve the treatment this vid shows.

For the record there are roughly 150 reports of pit bull attacks across the US each year with most of the victims walking away with gauze covering the wound. Unowned dogs, dogs kept on chains in the back yard, or dogs left alone with newborns cause the serious injuries.

When I live in Illinois, a palmeranian or however you spell it, attacked and killed a four year old... it was in the local paper. A pitbull attacked a man who was robbing the house the dog resided in, the man had severe bite marks but lived... it was in the paper, on the news, on cnn, and all over the internet... makes REAL sense doesnt it.

Actually, against what most people think, one of the most dangerous dogs is a miniature American Eskimo. It was recently named "The Naughtiest Dog in Canada" And trust me, they can bite harder than a Pitbull. Move quickly too.

Hey my names Lee, I'm 15 years old and I live in the north west of england, now, Because I live in england me and my family decided to adopt a pitbull, Jazz' after watching this video for the first time to prove to people in england their not bad dogs, it took the piss as we needed to get a licence and everything, but when we got her home after about 2 years of training Jazzy, she was coming 1'st in compertitions and was litterally the least viceous dog in the wold, its not the dog its the owner
I hear that dogfighting trainers starve their pitbulls and then tease them with food to make them more aggressive. They also make them clamp onto something in the air to hang them off the ground in order to make their jaws more powerful. Dog fighting itself is already inhumane but the prep work they do to prepare the dog for a fight... shit's beyond fucked up. Pisses me off when people say "hell no!" in adopting pit bulls because they're "bad dogs". That's the equivalence to human racism.

i dont believe that those are the methods dogman use, those are rumors. Real Dogman keep their dogs in better enviornments than most housedogs. they are taken out for more physical excersise rather than becoming couch patatoes. those methods that you have described are used by backyard teens who make dogs fight for entertainment and clearly do not respect their dogs.

When my daughter was 6 months old, we got a 4 week old pit. Me and my daughter were mauled by that pit 3 years later. It killed my 3 year old daughter and I'm scarred head to toe. We never hurt it or treated it badly. We loved Lennon (the pit's name) as if it were our own son. Explain how a "good" and "loving" dog could do that.
Pit Bulls, as loving and sweet as they are, are a bully breed. Meaning, though not naturally aggressive, they DO tend to try and be dominant over everyone. It takes training and constant exercise and discipline to keep it in its calm submissive state.

I wanted a Pitbull, but I couldn't convince my parents that Pitbulls aren't born vicious. My parents believe that Pitbulls are born to bite & attack everyone around them. I don't know how to convince them, I've even showed them these videos. I'm sure they're GREAT dogs, just that their owners taught them to be aggression & don't actually care about their dog. Meh, I'm hoping to adopt a Pitbull in the future though.

The American Pit Bulldog was once dubbed 'The nanny dog' because it was so great with children and a great family dog. Only in recent history has the breed been maligned, much like the German Shepherds and Dobermans a decade prior.

Absolutely love your video. There is no better dog than a Pit that is treated right. Sweet, loyal and very loving. I have 4 girls and none of them are neither mean nor vicious. The worst thing they can do to you is lick you to death. They love every new person they meat and just want to talk and play. Even the 2 I have that are abuse rescues.

Those tails, they are like little whips, even got a whelt on the back of my leg from Backhoe, They all love me soooo much, cause I love them SOOOO much. He also wakes up my parents in the mornings by whipping his tail against the wall, which sounds like someone pounding on the door, which makes my parents dog bark, and then I feel like a jerk because everyone wakes up.. Mine is a severely abused rescue. He's living the high life now, and refuses to sleep on anything but a bed. I'll give it to him. He's earned it.

Well, all the pit bulls are dying and being euthanized in places like Denver, Co. because of breed discrimination laws. I've seen so many videos that break my heart about this loving and misunderstood breed. People who abuse animals are usually warming up for something bigger. @mindyleeify What about the pits I saw brought at a dog park on 3 separate times that attacked other dogs. One time a puppy was almost killed and the puppy was not even interacting w/ the pitbull. The owners and their children seemed shocked that their "beloved pit" could do such a thing. I asked if the pit was hit or tortured or put in a cage a lot. They said no, and the wife was in tears that her beloved pit could do such a thing. At least a chihuahua won't almost kill a dog

What you saw was sad yes, but it was the owners responisibility to know their dogs and know their dispositions. My dog is not dog friendly, I know this so we don't go to the park (I have a huskey for the record). No one breed should be punished as a whole.

All terriers have one thing in common, they were all bred to be combative with other animals. But on the flip side they are loving and loyal with people. When my brother first got his staffy (which is cross something and is thought to be cross with a pitbull) he had been a runt. He had a rash on the top of his head, either that or a cut. Yet he was so gentle! Now we have a cocker spaniel and his the chewing type!!
The only reason why our dog would be vicious is because he wants to protect us because he trusts us, he loves us.

Nothing bothers me more then to drive down the streets of downtown or east Los Angeles and see a young guy in a wife beater holding his dog with a boat chain as a collar and a spike collar. When I see this I know he chose this dog for 1 reason. Status. The dog usually appears neglected and untrained.

Get a clue, all you pit-haters; it isn't the dog, it's the humans that taught them to be aggressive that should be muzzled! I've met good pits and bad; lost more than one beloved cat to pits whose owners then laughed about it, but I still say it's on the owner, not the dog. Animals are innocent; humans, not so much.

people forget the the great ENGLISH BULLDOG was originally bred for much of the same things, but it was a lot older. they had them in roman times!!! bulldogs were considered so dangerous they couldnt walk them within 1000ft of a city, not even if they were muzzled and in chains. but GOOD breeders bred it out of them and they are now one of the best dogs out there. people need to STOP breeding pits irresponsible and we can SAVE THEM!!! just like the bulldog = ]

@coffeeisawsumo however, with that said, that was a long time ago bloodlines wise in most of the dog's cases that they were bred for fighting, and the side effect of the being bred to be human passive with high pain tolerance is a dog that is great with kids for the most part. Hell, my last one was bred to fight, ended up a bait dog, and we adopted him from the pound and he was a great family dog. Very nice, very loving, and all this after he was nearly killed by the pos that bred him

most "pitbull" attacks are of dogs in the pack/hunting state in which a group of dogs (even just a pair) will run around the neighborhood catching rabbits or giving chase to anything. people tend to relate dogs to humans in the way that they have higher intent (like us) and that they understand such things as murder, or "wanting to kill me or my dog) most dogs, any breed really, are hardwired for a pack mentallity. ive seen german shepherds go after people.

I used to be afraid of pit bulls, because when I was young, a pit bull attacked another dog in front of me, and they had to pry its mouth open to save the other dog. Then about 4 years later, we adopted a dog who turned out to be a pit bull. I was so scared I wouldn't go near him. But, he later on totally changed my view on the dogs. He's now my best friend. I used to be a hater, but now, I am a pure pitty lover, thanks to my rescue ^^

they have been bred over many generations for specific reasons. Pit bulls were bred as fighting dogs and therefore may be more prone to aggressive behavior, but ONLY if it's encouraged by the owners.
I believe every dog can be one of the most dangerous, while they also have the capacity to be the sweetest. It's how you raise a creature that counts. Granted there are times when animals (not just dogs) might be mean or whatever, but usually that's because of some sort of brain defect.

I used to own an ex-fighting dog. He was such a beautiful character, although you could tell his background. He had a lot of smaller scars dotted about his body, but he had two really big ones. One went from just above his right eye down to his nose, which was also scared, and the other stretching about half-way across his belly. He didn't actually live for long, his life had a huge affect on his health, but I'm glad he had a few months of love and peace before he died. I'll always love him.

That said, I've been on both sides of the issue: my Grandmother's dog's leg was all chewed up by the neighbor's pit, but we rescued a red nose pit puppy that had been set on fire and dragged behind a car. In spite of that, she loves people. They often ARE what you make them, and you'd be lower than an animal to think they deserve the treatment this vid shows.

@deepfreezevideo Its too bad so many bad owners get Pit Bulls instead of Chihuahuas. People get a kick out of seeing me walk down the street with an obedient APBTat my side while a chihuahua is trying to attack it 5 feet away. For the record there are roughly 150 reports of pit bull attacks across the US each year with most of the victims walking away with gauze covering the wound. Unowned dogs, dogs kept on chains in the back yard, or dogs left alone with newborns cause the serious injuries.

@deepfreezevideo You do know a pitbull typically weighs about 50 Ibs or so right. If you need a gun for a medium size dog your one hell of a weak as individual. Confident packleaders dont worry about such things, its called being alpha. Im 190 Ibs and have no fear of any dog on this earth. If you werent so submissive you would understand what im saying.

When I live in Illinois, a palmeranian or however you spell it, attacked and killed a four year old... it was in the local paper. A pitbull attacked a man who was robbing the house the dog resided in, the man had severe bite marks but lived... it was in the paper, on the news, on cnn, and all over the internet... makes REAL sense doesnt it.

Which must be the reason why a ban in the state was able to get through without people being outraged AND standing up for the dogs. I can recall when it was German Shepherds that were 'bad' or Doberman Pinchers, BUT they were NEVER banned!

My dog is just part pit bull but our HOA won't even let us take him for walks in case he "attacks"... I am kind and gentle to my dog and he is the sweetest thing ever... I would love to shove this video in their faces...

Actually, against what most people think, one of the most dangerous dogs is a miniature American Eskimo. It was recently named "The Naughtiest Dog in Canada" And trust me, they can bite harder than a Pitbull. Move quickly too.
And by the way, I don't hate this breed, in fact I own one. He's a cute little bugger, but he's a rescued dog, and was mistreated in his old home. He attacks any other dog that comes near him. Used to bite me too, until he got retrained. Now he's just cute!

Hey my names Lee, I'm 15 years old and I live in the north west of england, now, Because I live in england me and my family decided to adopt a pitbull, Jazz' after watching this video for the first time to prove to people in england their not bad dogs, it took the piss as we needed to get a licence and everything, but when we got her home after about 2 years of training Jazzy, she was coming 1'st in compertitions and was litterally the least viceous dog in the wold, its not the dog its the owner

I hear that dogfighting trainers starve their pitbulls and then tease them with food to make them more aggressive. They also make them clamp onto something in the air to hang them off the ground in order to make their jaws more powerful. Dog fighting itself is already inhumane but the prep work they do to prepare the dog for a fight... shit's beyond fucked up. Pisses me off when people say "hell no!" in adopting pit bulls because they're "bad dogs". That's the equivalence to human racism.

i dont believe that those are the methods dogman use, those are rumors. Real Dogman keep their dogs in better enviornments than most housedogs. they are taken out for more physical excersise rather than becoming couch patatoes. those methods that you have described are used by backyard teens who make dogs fight for entertainment and clearly do not respect their dogs.

When my daughter was 6 months old, we got a 4 week old pit. Me and my daughter were mauled by that pit 3 years later. It killed my 3 year old daughter and I'm scarred head to toe. We never hurt it or treated it badly. We loved Lennon (the pit's name) as if it were our own son. Explain how a "good" and "loving" dog could do that.

Pit Bulls, as loving and sweet as they are, are a bully breed. Meaning, though not naturally aggressive, they DO tend to try and be dominant over everyone. It takes training and constant exercise and discipline to keep it in its calm submissive state.

Yo I own a pit, and she was abused and fought, had burn marks and claws ripped out and such when I got her... But now she's the sweetest dog I've had ever, not a bit of mean-ness in her. Pitbull's aren't the killers, just like guns... Guns don't kill people, people do. Dogs don't kill dogs or people, the owner of the dog kills the person or dog, it's all about training... If you raise them right they will do right. Just like a child... And that shit needs to be spread world wide.

I wanted a Pitbull, but I couldn't convince my parents that Pitbulls aren't born vicious. My parents believe that Pitbulls are born to bite & attack everyone around them. I don't know how to convince them, I've even showed them these videos. I'm sure they're GREAT dogs, just that their owners taught them to be aggression & don't actually care about their dog. Meh, I'm hoping to adopt a Pitbull in the future though.

@MsYuriMcFlurry Yes, however the media has done the real damage, being way too quick to say "pit bull" when there is a dog attack, but saying nothing when afterwords it's proven to be a boxer or mixbreed. "Pit bull" is also one of the only groups they call by name. If a collie attacked they just say "dog."
