Rogue is a very good movie, but I find this one the best croc-based movie. Throughout the whole movie I almost felt like I was there with that people, waiting for the crocodile to attack.

This sounds an awful lot like you took half the plot from rogue, mixed it with a little something you thought up, changed the characters different, the boat different, the setting different, and the croc different. But what can I say? I'lm just guessing. It doesnt mean I'm right

I've seen this movie n loved it!! It was bloody amazing!! It's so creepy how they used a real croc in this, and how well they kept the whole film in a real-like prospective. Even how the croc just stayed near the tree waiting for them. I actually did some research and read bout the actual incident that inspired this movie. Crocs are known for stalking their prey, and getting ready to ambush em as well. People who think crocs wouldn't wait under a tree should pick up a few Crocodile Hunter seaso

I thought this movie was Awsome, one of the best croc movies ive seen, If your lookin for an Action Over the top type film then this wont be for you but as this is based on true events i thought it was great, watched it a couple of times.

When the rescue team found them 10am the next day, the croc was still camping under their tree, it wasn't until the helicopter was called in that the croc was scared off out of sight. So for those that say it's impossible for a croc to remain under a tree, camping people for a long time, that's bullshit because this one did it for over 15 hours. Crocs are not stupid. very intelligent reptiles.

Shaun was in the second fork of the tree, Ashley in the third. Just on nightfall, Shaun tried to move higher up and, in a heart-stopping moment, fell into the water. Terrified, he scrambled out again within seconds.

It was only a couple of minutes that the croc remained looking around at us.

Shaun's police statement recounts the next part of the story: "Ashley yelled out, 'Croc, croc, I'm not joking, there's a fucking croc. Head for a tree, get out of the water.' I didn't see a croc, but swam to the nearest tree and climbed up into the first fork. I helped pull Ashley up into the same tree. We looked around for Brett and called his name out. didn't see Brett anywhere or hear him call out. I didn't hear a call or a splash or anything

I was in front, Ashley was next and Brett was at the rear. We were all within arms' reach of each other. It probably took us about 300 metres to catch up with Brett and then we began to look for a place to get out of the river. We all spoke to each other to check that we were all right. There was no real panic at this stage." The three young men, caught in the current, travelled for 700m-1km as they looked for a way to get back to dry land.

From the Guardian, Shaun's police statement detailed what happened next: The three of us walked into the water among some stringy trees. The water was running a little bit at this spot... and Brett went out a little farther and was washed away. I don't know if he lost his footing or the current was a bit strong for him. After we saw Brett washed away, both Ashley and I went out after him. Ashley and I caught up to Brett and we both got in front of him as we went with the flow.

Whats loosely true about this movie, is that the croc killed 1 of 3 friends, who knew the spot for 15 years and had never seen a croc there, meanwhile the 2 that survived, were huddled up in a fork of the tree. The Crocodile came below the tree, with their friend dead in it's jaws, taunting them. After a while they lost sight of his corpse but the crocodile remained under them and was camping their tree for the whole night. The crocodile didn't leave until the rescue chopper came the next day

I really enjoyed this, ignore the bad reviews - there are some people who review everything with negativity. This is a really good, tense movie... and some great Aussie scenery and creepy everglades! Try it, I recommend it, seen it several times and got it on DVD.

Such a rubbish movie. It may well be based loosely on true events, but the idea that a crocodile stalks its prey for days might try to jump-snatch it from a tree is ridiculous. Its a standard horror film - stupid people doing stupid things and getting killed.
