hmm never heard of this CC game before.I did however play the first (at least I think it's the first) on the GC. Hmm my guess is the storyline of this took place before the first since in the first (if the one on the GC was the first) it talks about how the lilties gained power and whatnot a long time before the (possibly first) game.

THIS IS A GREAT GAME I RECCOMMEND!!!!! (but the charachters will give you some memories... ex: the final boss to me = Malefor + Ganondorf! Layle: to me, = Link (in a way... but if you have guildwars, you might remember the symbol on his back from factions *SPOILER ALERT*)

Hey, I have to say, you did an excellent job of reviewing this game. You used facts and explained it very well. Much better than the IGN review. (which just left a bad feeling in my mind) You also didn't list the things that were only good about the game, but you just told it like it was. I personally REALLY like this review, I always show it to people who I wanna show the game to. I personally think this review is all in honesty, where as the IGN review I found was a bit of a troll review as in they'd list a bunch of bad points of the game, but say like 1-2 small good things, but they'll say its crap otherwise. It looks like to me that you know more about what you're talking about than they do, and you give more appreciation to the functions the game has, thanks!

I liked this game, but they could've done a bit more in story and gameplay, it was more like a short anime series than a game. the one thing that really annoyed me was layle's lack of ability, there are some parts with mandatory fight scenes you run out of objects to throw at your enemy, and your only weapon supposed to be a mastery of gravity based magic, but all you can do is "force push" or "force pull" and for some reason the enemy can block or is unaffected

The colour scemes and brightness remind me of FFX, which for me is a good thing as I've not consistently enjoyed a Final Fantasy since. Picked up a copy of Crystal Bearers today, ignoring the reviews on Gamespot and IGN.

nice review! I did enjoy this game; it was a little short, but it had a good story and was fun.

I don't know why more people didn't get into the (basically) fully interactive environment. Half of the time why playing this game, I was just throwing people around... hehehehe xD

it does recemble the music at that game a whole lot, seeing as this series is different from the main series, I would say the same goes for the music, although I love the music in the chronicles series

As a loyal fan to the original series I played on the SNES, part 2 and 3 especially.

I recently bought a wii and saw this is the latest installment however im skeptic because its not getting the best reviews...

Final Fantasy series from squaresoft imo is the greatest RPG's ever...

well, if you want to finish the game REAL quick, not much. but, if your the kind of person who likes to "savor the moment" and go into some areas thats somewhat not that tied with the main storyline, well....you can do ALOT of exploration in here. olus, u have medals that keep you busy. trust me, this is one kind of game that will not leave you bored.

I agree with this review. I highly recommend it if anyone here was even somewhat interested in the game. It's another unique action-adventure game for the system, like No More Heroes or Disaster: Day of Crisis were.

Nice review. The thing with the voice acting in this game is that, for me, it was a very mixed bag. Most of the time it was passable. Some characters were downright excellent. However, sometimes, it was very overacted, and I found it was typically Layle who fell in to this category.

I enjoyed the light combat aspect, and I enjoyed the arcade-y feel that it brought.

I disliked the map system in this game. The perspective was just plain weird, and it wasn't all that accurate.

Overall, the game took me about 30 hours to complete, and by no means was I trying to get all the medals. I'm a sort of middle of the road person when it comes to depth on a playthrough. I don't like to blaze through a game, but I don't like to wallow in an area for too long, and I found this game to be accommodating to different play styles.
