Great little compilation. I went to see the film recently and it was fun. Retained the innocent spirit of the cartoon.

As a child I was a fan of the original B7W version of Astro on TV. After all these years it is nice to see my favorite boyhood cartoon is still entertaining kids across the world.

The last series supervised by Osamu Tezuka was the one from the 1980's. If you really want to understand what astroboy is about I suggest you watch those. Tezuka was able to thread the needle between picturesque bubble gum delight and the most debilitating sorrow you could ever feel. Images of astroboy witnessed as a child reside in my memory as an indelible stain to this day.
