i followed your guide and it was very good thank you, i did however have a problem with the Chrysanthemum stars the sparks floated and carried for over 30 sec forcing me to stop before i had launched them all what would this cause this?

Looked good. The full bodied piston method was new to me. I instead use a cardboard cup made by pressing a cardboard disc over the former used for the mine bag itself. The BP goes on the inside of the cup and the stars on top, so when the mine is fired the pressure expands the walls of the cup outward achieving a good seal. Saves me some time and materials over making a piston with very similar results.
