  • Love Mansell...

  • Senna orgulho do Brasilllll!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Senna = Best ever.

  • @ gnark1ll1us Entirely agree with you on Senna's ruthlessness which we saw at Suzuka 90 &91 when his animosity with Prost led him to crash into the Frenchman, on the first turn and start of the race when Prost had moved to Ferrari. Prost should have won it that year 1990 or 91. and Senna's anger also boiled over on the final GP of 92 (I think) -in Australia crashing into the back of Mansell (deliberately) they say so Nigel could not win & claim the record for most GP's won in a year.!

  • SENNA!!! SENNA!!! SENNA!!! FOREVER!!!!!!!!

  • Senna was a champion of champions, I cant disagree with that.

He was still a cheat, as well as being utterly ruthless and unsporting. He was hated at the time by everyone except Brazilians, and he wouldnt have such a high profile now had he lived.

Still a great driver, but Ill taek sportsmanship Mansell style over multiple world titles won by foul play.

  • @gnark1ll1us

You're wrong, everybody who knows anything about F1 racing says Senna was the best of all time, get over it, it;s a fact. Maybe not the best sportsman, but in F1, winning is the name of the game, not being nice to your opponents. Thats' why Shui won 7 championships.

  • @b1akjak Is English not your first language or something? \read what I said again. I said he was 'champion of champions' and you agree, then I said he was unsportsmanlike, and you agree.

So what part am I wrong about? Im allowed to prefer Mansell over Senna arent I? Personally, as I stated, I prefer mansell and sportsmanship over a man that would actually crash your car in order to win.

I stand by the statement also that he wouldnt be worshiped now had he lived. He was HATED at the time. fact.

  • @gnark1ll1us I´m agree with you, for me Mansell is one of the biggest of all times too, but a man with a little bad luck.... If he could have good luck he could be at least 2 or 3 championships remember something 31 win races..... I think Mansell is the 4º of all time the 1º Schumacher, 2º Prost ( 51 win races), 3º Senna (41 win races) and 4º Mansell (31) ....

  • @gnark1ll1us You are totally wrong my friend...Senna was worshiped back then as well...how old are you?? If you are a teenage I feel pity for you but you ignore the facts ...if you are more than 30 then most likely you are suffering from amnesia...Mansell was really a great driver but all the f1 drivers admit that Senna had a unique god given talent....that's a FACTA

  • @bluesgk HaHa you are the one with amnesia, the man was absolutely loathed for poor sportsmanship.

  • @gnark1ll1us when you say "poor sportsmanship" you probably mean Suzuka '90..please everybody knows what happened there..watch Senna the movie...Senna and Mansell had always had very fair and memorable rivalry..and again the majority of f1 drivers support that Senna was the best of all time..i believe they know a bit more, don't you think?? When I said that Senna was worshiped before his tragic death, I meant by many people around the world (in any case the majority of the f1 fans back then)....

  • @bluesgk Right, for the last time...

I agree he was probably the greatest driver. I have said so repeatedly. Jesus...I cant believe i have repeated myself 3 or 4 times now.

I AGREE HE WAS PROBABLY THE BEST DRIVER SO FAR. I said it yet again.

I dont agree that the majority of fans liked him. Not outside of South America. And Suzuka wasnt even close to the only time he took someone out in order to win. If he was driving now he would banned for what he did, repeatedly, for a decade.

  • @gnark1ll1us Don't argue with him, the only people who realise who Senna was, were the the people who watched at the time, the people commenting on Senna nowadays are just people who watched Jeremy Clarkson's tribute to Senna on Top Gear. No doubt Senna was great, but why could he not of been great and fair?

  • @bluesgk Jesus how many people are going to message me saying 'senna was a great driver' He was probably the best of all time, I even said that in my original comment.

So youre telling me Senna was loved by the French after what he did to Prost, or by the British for what he did to Mansell?

Get a grip mate, the bloke was hated almost everywhere.

  • Dont know who is better senna or schumacher but we can say that senna did not raced just whit good race driver, he raced whit the giants Mansell, Prost, Niki Lauda, Nelson Piquet... with a inferior Tolleman and Lotus wining races looking for gaps with no limits and no fear of death.

  • schumacher is a champion, he has won 7 championship.. but senna is a true legend..

  • @dkdadlh schumacher was at ferrari when they were realistically the only decent car on the grid his car was miles better than the rest

  • Yes that is right, I think. Senna made everyone nervous and scared, except for Mansell. If Ayrton Senna had a tank turret and a fireball for a head, Mansell wouldn't be scared. (He would but you get it.)

  • que vitoria ...

  • senna =balls

    mansell =+mustache balls

  • spain 1986, senna won by 0.014 seconds...

  • This is a Moto GP style last lap... good old memories

  • do not put Senna and schumacher on the same sentence unless you wanna say what i'm saying

  • senn, mansell...good times!today is soo different! so poor!

  • Senna é o caraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

  • Comment removed

  • esto...digo, chico, digo...esto no es barcelona, me parece.....

  • @ferrari67 Esto era Jerez.

  • Mansell is a british hero,he should have been 3 times world champion but unreliability put payed to that.Im my opinion he was a far better racer than Ayrton Senna.

  • @Largallama no-one better than senna brother 8-)

  • @Largallama LOL LOL LOL You're crazy... little brit!

  • Comment removed

  • @Largallama Better than Senna? maybe...FAR BETTER??? ARE YOU FUCKING CRAZY???

  • @Donfrak No i am not crazy,Senna was a cheat just like shumi,i remember the Suzuka GP in 89.he was quoted as saying that if Prost gets off the line before me i will take him out at the first corner, and thats exactally what happend,he won the championship by doing that. Now if you are the so called GOD of racing you would not have to do that.Whill i will agree he was one of the best,he is not the best.

  • Senna didn't need underground maneouvers as done by Balestre to benefit Prost to show, without doubts, that he was the best F1 pilot ever. He had the 1989 championship stollen by the couple Prost/Balestre. And championship that you say was the 1990,not the 1989.

  • @LeoAndRas

    Thats True !!

  • @Largallama Prost did that exact same thing to senna on that exact same corner, senna was just getting even.

  • Mansell far better racer than Senna ? You're making a mistake, because facts are facts: he had against him Senna in his best form as driver, sorry...

  • wooowh what a finish :) ..man im only 19 but wow..this is so much more exciting than modern f1. although i did like the concept of kerbs ..if only every team had it, would be quite exciting. :) ..i watched alot of F1 during schumi's days and that got a little tag boring becuase we all knew who the winner was going to be lol..

but yeah..this type of racing, i would love to see <3 ! no wonder dad and mum kept going on about sena and Mansell

  • Awesome :)

How I miss those days. It was just so exciting.

  • difference between senna , mansell ( schumacher and others ) and hakkinen ....

    senna , mansell , prost , schumacher , piquet , lauda , alonso MADE OFTEN Numbers ....

Hakkinen made 1 time one Number ....

  • Hakkinen? you are comparing Senna with Hakkinen? hahaha. dont make me laugh.

  • @rafacosta2

I agree , but I compared rivals of senna with

rivals of schumacher , rivals of senna made

OFTEN Numbers with N , made several Numbers ....

hakkinen rival of schumacher , hakkinen

ONLY one number , yes , a legendary

    overtake - spa 2000 - but only that ....

  • Oh, i understand now. Agree with you.

  • @rafacosta2

    Therefore for me ....

Rivals of senna were greater of

    rivals of schumacher ....

  • Amazing! Simply incredible! This is why the 80's is my favourite era of racing. Never would you see something like this these days!

  • Nowadays you never ever see the leader lose the lead only to regain it by sheer driving ability and determination.

All we get is pitlane overtakes and drivers who get overtaken never ever claw back the gap again like Senna did here, only to have mansell come straight back at him again

    These guys were F1 giants!

  • What happend at 029 ? Senna seems much faster (turbo pressure) and Mansell amazingly

does let the door open on the inside....

  • @indigoblue555 the guy in the front is braking early and senna is braking late, that is why he got into the grass.

  • @ridder5152 - I 'm focused on 028- 030 .

I see Senna in Mansell's slip stream and then overtaking on the inside. Evidently the Renault Turbo was in great shape or Mansell was already tasting his Moet Chandon flute in his mind :)

He seems being surprised by Senna

fightingback.Obv at 0,30 too late to shut the door, but I wonder why did he let the inside line free on the straight.

That was a fair sportmen's behaviour though: no defensive driving as like as Senna used to do.

  • saudades desses pegas

    esse sim eram machos

nao esse que ai estao agora

bom de braço e bota pesada

    vlw senna

    vlw leao

  • Mansell mereció haber ganado 18 títulos mundiales, por lo menos, y Senna 21.

  • that's what we don't have no longer...good times!

  • senna its best

  • poww Mansell sempre dando trabalhoo

  • who won here?

  • Ayrton Senna

  • senna was a meter or half a meter in front by passing the finish-line...

just 20m more and mansell would have won

  • wasn't in the race so it's totally irrelevant to mention him.

  • senna dude....

  • ayrton i believe

  • questo è guidare!!grazie ad entrambi

  • another observation. Senna gave Mansell all the room to go longside. today in a similar situation the driver in the lead would zigzag and and more.

  • brilliant, to hold off mansell in an inferior car with shot tyres is somthing to be proud of

    senna was better than mansell...

  • The thing is, Mansell only ever caught up to Senna because Senna's tyres were shot and Mansell was only behind int he first time because he had to make a pit-stop for tyres. Amazing job by Senna to take back the position and then hold it.

  • ooooooooooooooH unlucky mansell! FUCK lol

  • Love senna's black/gold team lotus car.

  • Mansell se paso un segundo de la cuenta en la succión, si hubiera abierto antes ganaba

  • One hell of a last lap battle! Almost on par wih the Gilles Villeneuve/Rene Arnoux battle in 79'.

  • After retiring of Mansell, Prost, Schumacher and death of Senna trhere is no fighters in F1. That's why this sport is now so boring... there is no fight for place, no overtaking, no risk, everybody wants to finish the race - no mater in what position. Because of that I wathing Moto GP.

  • 2009 will probly be one of the better seasons... cut funding, slick tyres, less aero... there will be more passing and more opportunities for great drivers as the cars will be closer and slipsteaming can be done...

  • The cars won't be closer on performance at all.The myriad of technical changes mean gaps between the teams will be huge - see the difference between '97(3 cars qualifying on the same laptime) and '98 (Mclarens more than a second a lap faster than anyone) for the proof.

Hopefully there'll be the possibility of overtaking, but I doubt it.

I also find it ironic that, now that they've finally seen sense and gotten rid of the ridiculous grooved tyres, they've made the cars plain ugly.

  • Ayrton Senna Do Brasil!

    :D

    Ayton apavora todos!!!

He makes both of then scared!

    SENNA!

  • yea... ayrton senna was the best of the best... make me feel old....

  • Mansell and Senna, true racers in every sense, F1 needs true sportsmen like them, passion and desire!!

Monaco 92, another example of the 2 Titans clashing!!

  • the winner takes all!!!!

  • Dear Schummy, with all due respect, but Senna is simply the BEST forever. This is a classic example - Mansell with a far superior car than Senna, and Senna is able to pull that pass. Amazing!!!

  • i can tell you why he could pull that pass, he could raise turbo pressure for a moment, these cars had turbo with regulation from cockpit

  • I agree with you, Channy132.

  • Very nice!

  • Magic Ayrton Senna Forever

  • wou!!!thats great.the best ever last lap in f1 history.

  • Airton Senna is the best forever and EVER !

  • Nice finish! 0.014 second behind only!

  • if only the start/finish line stayed where it was a few days earlier, mansell woulda won :p

  • Duur...if it has just one more lap, Mansell would win...things happen the way it is...

  • thats not what i meant, they moved the start/finish line a few days before the race for some reason and if it stayed in the same place, mansell would have won!

  • had the line stayed where it was or where it was moved to, senna would win both ways!

  • great finish
