  • Driver of the second tram needs to understand that if its a special historical piece that it should not be driven like he stole it.

  • @jetpilot96 The second tram is a 4-wheel ex-passenger car converted to a works tram. In Sydney, 4 whel trams were known as "Jumping Jacks" due to their poor riding ability on anything but perfect track. This line, while less than perfect, is still safe. I have ridden most of the preserved trams on this line and they all bounce and roll around. The acutual speed of the tram would have been around 20km/h, so the driver is hardly "driving it like he stole it!"

  • OMG!!! how did a bus disguise itself as a tram, I mean look at it, and it is a shame that you can only see these trams in a mueseum or an abanded depot in glebe, which has tram #1995. and when that tram passed by on Anzac Parade in 1961 in, feburary, I think, my grandad stood there and said, that's a massive mistake getting rid of trams, and he's right, trams are apart of Sydney like the kangaroo is to all Australians. ME! like this if you are an Aussie and want trams back in Sydney!!!!!!

  • @MrTrainboy1 SLOW DOWN! What do you mean "how did a bus disguise itself as a tram"??? The bus you catch a glimpse of in one scene was on a tour that day and not part of the Last Tram re-creation. It is in NO WAY "pretending" to be a tram. Yes, I agree that it is a waste that the trams as we see them here were disposed of from our streets by early 1961, but sadly this is history.

    Yes, R1 1995 is sitting in Rozelle tram depot rotting, but it will take a LOT of work before it can grace any rails.
