  • 240p we meet again..

  • I was ll yrs old when the Beatles came to America. I cried when I saw them and wanted to run to England to marry Paul. I lived the magic of Beatlemania. it was awesome beyond comprehension. PLS go to my favs and click on NICE SINGING "WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM MY FRIENDS" BY GRANDMA JOYCE (thats me (-:

I love this group so much I wanted to sing a little tribute to them. Beatles forever! No one ever will be like them. enjoy!

  • LOVE THIS SONG AND MORE SONGS FROM THE BEATLES! THEY ROCK!

  • joe cocker owns this!!!

  • You cant compare the beatles with Joe cocker . Both very different. Both great !

  • Joe Cocker suck

  • Ahahah 1:23

  • Ahahah 1:23

  • Loving the hats. :D

  • I don't undersrtand the Joe Cocker comparisons. Both versions are fine in extremely different ways. Neither compares to the other. Joe's is half the tempo, soulful with a bit of gospil flavor. The Fabs version is straight forward hand clapping sing a long rock and roll. They almost sound like two different songs. Joe covered a few other Beatle songs as well.

  • is it me? or joe cocker version is much better?

  • to think that there was a time when the beatles, the who, led zeppein, joe cocker, jimi hendrix, janis joplen, and many more all were at the hight of there power at the same time!!!!!!!! god my generation suck, i wish i live in that time!!!!!!!!

  • @gg136800yyk i agree-ive given up with today-just kick back and thats it.

  • If not for this song no one would even know who Joe Cocker was...

  • @bchen03 you are completely wright...

still I think Cockers version is better, but that is just my opinion

  • i get song with a lil help from my high... waaait, i'm already high nvm

  • My friends get high with a little help from me...

  • 31 people have no friends to get a little help from.

  • @CornPolitifunnyed And one person feels the need to make comments like this in an attempt to get into 'Highest Rated Comments'

  • Joe Cocker made this song have more feeling and passion, these guys made it cheery! I like the Joe Cocker version way better though!

  • LO MEJOR THE BEATLES, JOE COCKER LA HACE BIEN PERO TODA REPETICION ES UNA OFENSA ;)

  • in that one photo ringo looks high and lol thats funny there all reading john,s book :D

  • 29 people thought the button said, "dis i like."

  • the joe coker version is good but the beatles version is just that bit better

  • What would you think if I sang out of tune? or

What would you do if I sang out of tune?

I think there are two versions...

  • This is one of the best Ringo sang songs ever and Joe cant take that from him!!! Joe Cocker is a cheap Woodstock beatles rip at best. Greatest Concept Album ever

  • Damn people, Coccker took this and redid it. He did a great job, yes, but this is not his damn song. This is the Beatles's song, it wouldn't sound the way it dos if it wasn't.

  • Comment removed

  • The whole discussion about Joe and The Beatles is just pointless because the Beatles version is part of one of the most popular concept albums ever. Joe changed it into a song that would never fit with other songs.

  • This is Joe Cocker's song, got it?

  • @malezhita1 OMG I knew that, baby!!! I just prefer the Joe's cover You understand me????

  • Oh god it sounds so damn tinny.

  • OH MY GOD I CAN'T LISTEN THIS SONG WITHOUT JOE'S VOICE...SEEMS TO BE A SILLY STUPID SONG IN THIS WAY!!!

  • that just shows how good songwriters were, just one of their simplest tunes caused great inspiration for joe cocker.

  • JOE CROCKER FUCKIN KILLED THIS SONG WAY BETTER THEN THIS VERSION

  • This is such great quality!

  • Wow. This is the first time I've ever heard the Beatles version of this song. Yikes, doesn't come close to Joe Cocker's version.

  • god i love youtube music arguments!

  • bla bla bla joe cocker this joe cocker that u cant handle the truth!!!!!u cant handle the truth!!!!!!!!!u need me on that wall!!!!!!!! go cocker your joe!!!!!!!!

  • The only Beatles song for which i have to admit....someone else sang it better...Joe Cocker took this simple song...and gave it a different meaning and took it to different heights...thank you Joe Cocker...

  • joe cocker my man.... DAMN~! love the beatles but right here gotta give to joe!

  • true to raymond

  • The Beatles sing it as a ditty. Joe Cocker sings it as an anthem.

  • Joe Cocker's version is a trillion times better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @mdreamer838 Fuck you! :@

  • Comment removed

  • omfg!! what was the show from way back when that had this as their theme song

  • =D love it.

  • Joe Cocker made a great Cover of this song, his version was one of the best moments in woodstock. But the original is still better.

  • the orginal from the fab four is the best

  • This song may have been originally written and performed by The Beatles, but Joe Cocker sings it better. The way the song was rearranged when Joe performed it made it sound much more soulful. The Beatles have tons of memorable recordings, but this isn't one of them.

  • @IAmThePumaMan thank you! well said!

  • Beatles: Worst thing that ever happened to America. Free advertising for the local dope dealers

  • wOW! I've never heard that version, which must be the original. It sounds so wrong after hearing Joe Cocker. Btw, this is just my opinion, don't get mad Beatles lovers.^^

  • I can't decide whether Cocker's or Beatles version is best, because they are so diffrent. It is like two totally different songs. Cocker's is deep, and very emotional, and Beatles' version has more of a beat going on all the way throughout the song, and it sounds more happy. Never-the-less, both versions are surperb and it's a stupid fight you guys got going. Long live peace! (And weed of course!)

  • WTF!? joe cookers version is a lot better !!!!

  • @kamilozo95 who the hell is joe cooker :D

  • i prefer joe cockers version because he is much more passionate and this is just some stupid sing a long shit

  • ur a nigger, the beatles kick ass at every song THEY wrote.....bitch

  • @killlazzz agreed

  • sing it on choir ;D

    Loove it soo much ;D

  • they talk about trash talk here..why dont you see my videos^^??

  • To the people saying Joe Cocker ruined this song, he definately did not. His live performance at Woodstock of this song was beautiful, it was also one of the deepest versions I've ever heard. He means every word he says. The Beatles of course did a great job too, everyone should stop arguing and get high with some friends instead. :) btw I wasn't at Woodstock, before my time, but I have videos from my parents and the DVD of every performance.

  • I love the beatles and this song

check out my channel and my attempt at this brilliant song and several others

  • I get high with a little help from this song... :D

  • same here :)

  • my top fave beatles songs :somthing, dig it, i am the walrus, with a little help from my friends, oh darling, im a loser and here comes the sun!!!

  • man i love this song. guys listen to the version from the movie "across the universe" that one is really good

  • JOE COCKER BABY

  • I agree, AWESOME pic's & song!.....

I can still remember being about 5/or 6yr's old

when the Beatles first appeared on The Ed Sullivan

Show- what an exciting night that was for me & all

of the Beatles fans that still remember that night!!....

    (1,000 + Stars)

  • killer bass.....

  • Dave here. Joe worked harder at it, but somebody once said that genius is to make something difficult look easy. I guess if you're in a certain, raunchy mood, Joe sounds better. A radio psycho-

logist, Abner, at "The Big Voice in the Big Valley," CA, used the Beatles' version to intro. his show in the '70's. I chided him on his freq. use of "P.C."-speak, during a call in '75-'76, fm a ranch in Oakdale, CA.

He was good-humored about it, hence, a

    sentimental fav. Good farm-life. Moo-o-o!

  • I miss them. So many good memories.

  • fuck all of you joe cocker made this song 1234781236472364172364273164278346827364872364 times better!

  • but beatrles are better.

  • mental idiot!

  • Ringo has nothing on Joe Cocker's singing. But then again he is a drummer so you can't really compare the two. And he also wrote the song so that evens the two versions out for me.

  • He didnt write it but it was written for him by John and Paul.

  • cocker!!!!!!

dont u ever mess again with the beatles

    "i dont think so"

  • This song is about how strong a bond can be with ur friends and how much you can rely on them.

Joe Cocker sung it differently if it was like romance. This song needs a voice thats more ''feelie'' kind of voice like Ringos.

No offence but i still like the Beatles version more. And another plus if the Beatles didnt wrote then Joe Cocker woudent have sung it.

  • Joe Cocker took this song and made it his bitch.

  • @644547024430

    true its a total assrape

  • @644547024430 Yes he did as he did many very well. But what did he write of his own that others bitched with?

  • @644547024430 Best comment I've read on YouTube in a long time. He did, indeed, make this song his bitch! :D

  • @644547024430

or made it a little more "istenable" if this is possible at all. beatles version sucks big time like usually.

  • @644547024430 yeah him and the Wonder Years.

  • Yes Joe did turn this into his own. One of the few examples of a remake that actually worked.

  • @644547024430 about to say the same thing

  • Even John Lennon said that

  • The Beatles are great but Joe Cocker is just better for me

  • joe cocker>the beatles

  • 1:40 george is nailing john haha

  • naughty George! =)

  • sgt pepper

  • Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band

  • Paul was definitely my favorite singer of the beatles

  • Joe Cocker sing this song better than The Beatle

  • dude he sucks

  • shame on you.

  • he took it to a different level ,,...

  • His voice is good, but he butchered the meaning of the song. This song is a counter culture anthem of togetherness and community. Cocker sang it like it was a love song, which it most definitely wasn't.

  • i have to disagree.. he didn't butcher the meaning, he made the meaning more clear in my eyes..

  • I heard gmi2121 said yes... playful boy.

  • gmi2121 marry me !!!! xD

  • holy shit

george harrison at 0:16 looks just like me.

  • mmm yeh ringo looks like gollum

  • uh............ how old are you?

  • considering you are either a 50yr old stalker or a 10yr old kid...ill just say im between those ages

  • Joe Cocker's version is wonderful!!! But I love The Beatles's version: Ringo did him best to this version. But, in another way, lyrics are the most beautiful write ever: "How do I feel by the end of the day ¿are you sad because your own in your own? NO I GET BY WITH A LITTLE HELP FROM MY FRIENDS!!!!!"

  • cocker's version is better. but john and paul are some of the greatest songwriters ever! this is a great song. if the beatles hadn't written it then cocker couldn't have covered it obviously

  • agreed, i tihnk the beatles laid down bases for songs that could be much improved on. some of the songs are already fully developed to me though

  • It wasn't John OR Paul who wrote it smart ass. It was Ringo Starr, The drummer in the Beatles.

  • i know who ringo is smart ass. and i meant in general. i NEVER said that john or paul wrote it. i said they were great songwriters.

  • But it WAS written by Jon Lennon and Paul McCartney. They wrote it for Ringo to sing.

  • This song was written by lennon and mccartney they wrote a song on every album for Ringo to sing this is the one they wrote on sgt peppers for him.

  • Nooo! He only sang Yellow Submarine and this one and like a nother one or something. Not EVERY album.

  • Ringo sung: I wanna be your man, Boys, Honey don't, act naturally, What goes on, Yellow submarine, Don't pass me by, good night, octopus's garden as well as this song. Theres only about 2 or 3 albums where he doesn't sing a song

  • can any one tell me where those rare pictures came from :)?

like when hes on the side of the boat with a camera ?

  • fo real dude

  • i preffer joe cocker's version

  • I agree, but the Beatles had to make the song their own otherwise what is the point.

  • Beatles wrote this so credit to them but i prefer Joe cockers version, mainly because it played at the start of "the wonder years" LMAO

  • You've told the truth (:

  • both versions are great. cockers version is 3/4, beatles 4/4 beat

  • joe cocker version is ugly is slow :/

  • pfft stephen harper does it better :P.

  • thw beatles rock

  • hmm

  • SCREW JOE CROCKER!! jk i just prefer the original

  • the beatles dreamed this song, Cocker made it true

  • I prefer WET WET WET

  • fuck you

  • LMFAO the wonder years lol

  • Joe Cocker in my opinion doesn't even compare to The Beatles

  • What kind of stupid logic is this? "The original is always the best" is just a phrase coined because very often, the original happens to be the best.

You shouldn't forget about the original artist, that's only fair, but sometimes people improve on things... and I believe that Joe Cocker did that.

  • original is not always the best =P

  • i like Joe Cocker's version better..especially when he performed it at Woodstock 69

  • JOE CROOKER SUCKS ASS

  • 208,000 viewer

  • Excuse me sir, keep your faggy opinions to yourself, alrighty?

  • How the Hell is it bastardizing when the Beatles wrote the damned song? I agree that the Joe Cocker version is better but this is not a bad song originally either. Also, making disparaging statements about the sexuality of the Beatles shows you how immature you truly are. Without the Beatles, modern music would not exist as it does today. Have and show some respect for the most influential band in modern times.

  • wrong, he didnt know how to make this song since he didnt make it, he remade it, dumbass, cocker would of called you a faggot for not appreciating the beatles, plus this song is a different breed compared to any cocker music , you think this shit just falls out of the air, it takes extremly gifted people to bring it to life, make some music than start talking ur dumb shit

  • just kill yourself for saying that please

  • didn't like joe cocker's but give him for crating it

  • ringo starr reminds me of bovv out of green street

  • Is Ringo singing this?? Sounds a lot like him.

  • yeah that is ringo

  • 0:36 awsome!!!! HOT!!!!

  • Joe Cocker might be a " one trick pony" but his version of this song is a true masterpiece.. Much like Leon Russell's Beatles tune.

  • Abbey Road poster is awesome 0:11

  • Both Beatles and Cocker versions rock. End of argument everyone.

  • Joe Cocker does this song twenty five millions times better, and thats a fact i did studies and made potions and whatnot to prove it, haha believe it!!

  • joe cocker's song is way too over top and theatrical.....way to cheesy

  • It's ten times better than this crap!

  • Barney says: "You're an idiot!"

  • joe cocker is not half as good as they are

  • Love this song! I love all of their songs. The beatles arethe best ever, and Im a beatles freak and Im proud

  • the version of joe cocker it is better

  • the beatles is own of the best groups ever. but joe cocker made this song sound waaaay better and more soulful.

  • I HAVE THE POSTER AT 1:36!!!! i find that really awesome!

i also find this song amazingly AWESOME!!! it's a very true song too. it's my group of friends theme song cause it's amazing and the beatles are the bestiest!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • really, aw nice, i have the Abbey Road poster at 0:10 but i want the one at 0:20 :D

  • I hear tht

  • Ringo at 1:56 looks hilarious

  • fuk joe COCKers version BEATLES FTW

  • joe cocker ftw, in fact danyl johnson from the x factor is wayyy better than this

  • nope.

  • wtf? why everybody is talking about something that has nothing to do with the song!
