1931- A chilly mid spring rain shower falls over Brooklyn. A man down on his luck walks into the neighborhood pub where he orders a whiskey. Makes small talk with the bar tender about last nights ball game and lights up a cigarette. To his right he notices a young attractive blonde, wearing a sleek green dress playing the piano. Entranced by the sound he is hearing, he makes his way over to her. He tilts his black silk top hat and says "hello" she responds only with a smile and continues to play
