Sorry dude, but Black Metal has lost its touch. I love Celtic Frost, Immortal and Deathspell Omega but as a whole there are enough Black Metal bands that do Black Metal just for the occult factor (Satyricon, anyone?). Emperor, Gorgoroth, they're all good, but as a genre it's been declining.

Metallica did not sell out. Truth be told, they made the same album 4 times in a row, if you think about it. They followed a formula right up until the Black Album. The fact that they changed what they were doing did not mean they would have instant success. Did they lose fans? Indeed. Did they gain fans? Again, indeed.

Well, the albums Ride the Lightning to ...and Justice for all all start and end with the fastest songs, the title of the album was always the second track. Also, all featured instrumentals. With the black album, they stopped all of these traits.
