The way I see it, the state's ONLY true function, is the protection of its citizenry. This of course must include its borders, only a moron would think otherwise. I am, and have been my entire adult life, a libertarian. Libertarian policy must include a stringent border policy against invasion. I have absolutely no problem with immigration, as long as it's done legally, and does not overcome the ability of the state to survive.

I am a little suspicious about your choice of news reports and I'm going to check the crime rates because blacks are incarcerated FAR MORE than hispanics and whites combined... but otherwise I do agree with the controls.

Will any of the videos adress spiritual compunctions? Look man, I don't believe certain acts are objectively bad or anything, but that doesn't mean I go around murdering. And I do not feel comfortable with the idea of threatening someone with murder just because they crossed some imaginary line defined by massive blurry corporations acting in the name of mythologies such as "the public good" (And yes, I know priv. prop. are also imaginary lines), and I suspect I am not alone.

Well any major position change takes time to contemplate. You are welcome to come to Skype if you wish. The only thing I would say is that there are sadly numerous libertarians that would sacrifice a greater level of libertarianism as well as their own lives (or so they proclaim) at the altar of "libertarian means" like a religious fanatic. Maybe it is because they are afraid of being called a racist and can still use libertarian dogma.

Your argument sounds more convincing every time. I've learned to put aside my knee-jerk reactions of calling people racist and I can definitely see it from your perspective.

However, I'm still on the fence. Plus, I don't feel comfortable palling around with Republicans. But maybe I can get over it.

i don't see this working anyway, appealing to conservative values to recruit libertarians. yeah, nationalist libertarians. what about conservatives that won't budge on the war on drugs or an interventionist foreign policy? will you look for a way to appeal to them too?

Conservatives change on war. They have been anti war and pro depending on the time frame. War on Drugs and foreign policy aren't as costly now or especially in the future as the welfare state. Immigration control is a win on the practical political front and for libertarianism. It is a win win.

Judging from the interactions between Latinos and blacks in those areas where they've come in contact with each other, I'm going to hazard a guess that a more heavily Latino US would not be particularly in the interest of blacks either.

Well, I'm going on the statistics on interracial crime, while particular cases may vary. I've also been told by libertarians on youtube that they know Latinos who are libertarians, even though statistics and my own experiences contradict those claims. I'm sure there are also places where blacks and whites get along okay. That said, they're the exception, not the rule.

@NAARandom my point was that it's not likely to affect me. and i'm not sure that the situation between blacks and latinos is analogous to cats and dogs, hopefully there is a way out of it, if not then i guess i'll have no choice but to join the white man's struggle against latino voter oppression lol

What I find particularly amusing, and disturbing at the same time, is how the hispanics and blacks are FIGHTING for that minority status, BECAUSE minority status in our current political climate and culture equals POWER! Isn't that crazy?

The US is a perverse example, in that it's the only country (besides Canada and the nations of Western Europe ) in which the dominant majority is actively helping in reducing itself in status both economically and demographically. In every society other a nondominant minority will invariably be persecuted by the majority. Something to consider as whites move closer to minority status in this country.
