Good discussion. But, what irks me about many such discussions is how people choose not to acknowledge how unnatural our lifestyle, and therefore the energy demand, are.
By choosing not to acknowledge the fact that a fundamental change in our value system is needed to solve the crisis intelligently, they imply that the problem is on the supply side and not very much on the demand side, when the actual problem is clearly on the demand side!!!
I'm really amazed at Jane Woodward, I don't think I've ever met or heard of a professor advertise their class using an airplane with a banner flying over campus!
Though, I am amazed there are things that every day people and business can do to save energy and money, such as properly insulating households.
I don't know though about some of the statements made though: "Only a billion dollars." In the current economic environment, how can we say that?
