  • I bet michael Myers hates his theme song more than he does his sister

  • I swear, it sounds like it's getting faster each time I listen.

  • I can think of a couple of elected officials this could be the theme for

  • @joesmoe71 Rick Santorum? Mitt Romney? Newt Gingrich?

  • @doom3134 Please go rant about politics on Huffington post.

  • @abola2121 I was replying to a comment ABOUT politics. I didn't even start it bro.

  • When I see teh picture I think of White chocolate.

  • my opinions:

    Best Theme Song- Michael Meyers

    Best Villain: Freddy Krueger

    Best Weapon: Leatherface

  • If you are ever watching the movie, take a look at how weak Michael looks and then look at him punching a hole through a door, getting hit by a car, stabbed by his own knife, punched really hard in the face and being knocked out of windows! And he lived every time.

  • Best horror movie forever. Love part 2 with more than eleven nurses killed. ;-)

  • 3 people have been visited by HIM...

  • @galacticman123 Apparently they escaped.

  • @SolidRaider6 ...and have lived!!

  • From a time when horror movies were actually scary.

  • Halloween, Friday the 13th, The Exorcist were (are) great horror films and I find it sad to know that unfortunately horror films will never be the same. These were films where the audience feared for the protagonist. It's a little disturbing to know that "slashers" have evolved into the "Heroes" and the protagonist is now the antagonist. Audiences can't wait to see how the Killer is going finish off their victims. When you're cheering for the Killer, it's no longer a horror film; it's a comedy.

  • I've heard this theme a hundred times, but never actually saw Halloween. It's cool to see this is where it came from!

  • @Mkoberland :o

  • i spent eight years playing that piano may i please rest my arms now!

  • 2 IDIOTS. wHO COULD HATE THIS?

  • "Was that the boogey man?" - Laurie

"As a matter of fact... It WAS." - Dr. Loomis

LOVE THAT MOVIE. I FEEL SO GOOD WHEN I WATCH IT FOR SOME REASON! It's just the most classical movie I've ever seen. Literally. I love you Michael Myers.

  • i keep seeing michael in my dreams i wonder if tge storys are true

  • Oh look, two deaf people clicked the dislike button.

  • Halloween is the best

    The song is the best

    Michael Myers is the best

  • Best song 4 piano by far :)

  • best horror film ever made carpenter used 2 b a legend in his early days, halloween, the fog, escape from new york, the thing,BTILC

  • Ah my childhood memories come BACK. I remember when I was four watching this, original texas, children of the corn. The only one that scared me was Texas I honestly have no idea why.

  • not the origanal

  • Ah yes, the thumping sound version, which was actually used in H20 when Laurie decaps Myers.

  • @alucard624 Or Did She???....

  • @TheBombshell33 Lol. she did as far as I'm concerned. H20 should have been the end of the story period. You can't get more final than a decap of your main villain. Resurrection was a joke in regards to making the audience really stretch their believe in regards to exactly how Myers would have survived from H20. To me Resurrection ruined the emotional impact that H20's ending packed.

  • @alucard624 I agree, in fact to me I don't consider Resurrection as part of the story. I look at it as a what if type story. Just me personally. I view it as Halloween 1,2 and H2O as the real story

  • This and the score to Psycho are the two greatest horror scores of all time.

  • best killer is michael m. then leatherface then freddy in my opinion

  • Love this so much gives me chill bumps

  • The number one serial killer is Michael. Jason next. Freddy last...out of three.

  • @greenpopper36 How is Chucky better than Jason? lol

  • @greenpopper36 Don`t Forget Mrs.Voorhees!

  • uh... no cupcakes :)

  • @JawBonkers I love that part.....Dr. Loomis scolding the neighbor....You don't know what death is!

  • the darkest eyes, the devil's eyes

  • this still scares the crap out of me after all this time!

  • @billchance71 You don't know what death is.

  • Listening to this On Halloween! Happy Halloween! :D 2011!

  • Happy Halloween, people!

  • Yeah, now I've gotten myself all spooked out. Just had to wake up and decide it'd been a long time since I'd heard this. Now I can't stop making sure nobody else is on my level, slowly walking into my room.

  • Tomorrow night he comes home! Happy Halloween everybody!!!

  • @bobafettfan32 Funny. I hope he comes so I can get his autograph!

  • There is only one "Halloween" movie.

  • i always loved at 1:10, where that crescendo just dissolves suddenly, like "here comes something! something is about to happen! are you ready....!.", then NOPE, you realize you are back to the tension of waiting, waiting, waiting......

  • The best version hands down, they should have kept it that way. Like the real piano sound. One of the best soundtracks in horror in my opinion.

  • @bassmanjoe maybe one of the best in movies period

  • @jgwentworth34 Yeah i agree, but i really love the music in the whole movie. Great music plays a huge role in a movie.

  • Classick !!!

  • What kinda instruments are being used in this score ??? It's sounds like a Theremin is in there !!!

  • @hydraIX He used a Sequential Circuits Prophet 5.

  • I still and will always love this Halloween theme since I was 5. Yes I love watch horror movies at that ages and never get nightmare.... my sister does... lol!

  • Best horror theme ever

  • @JboneDRS Duh!

  • 00:14

  • A TRUE CLASSIC!!!!!

  • @jlwhigham FUCK OF FOGOOT

  • this a moddified version if u listen to the beging

  • All you need is William Shatner and a piano...

  • this is perfect

  • The only one... Hum, so creepy ! :D

  • the music by john carpenter really made this movie what it is.

  • @hoodge95 me to scary

  • @greenpopper36 Errr no Pinhead?

  • The night HE came home...

  • I knew this would happen....

  • The One, The Only, The Classic, HALLOWEEN...

  • @TheBombshell55 knew what would happen???

  • @TheBombshell33 It's a quote from Halloween. Loomis says it ight after he looks out the window and Michael's body is missing

  • I have met John Carpenter at a horror convention this past year and it was truly an honor to spend a few moments with a true master of horror!

  • Truly the creepiest theme from the creepiest modern day horror film. John Carpenter was a master at creating just the right atmosphere! A lot of horror directors today just don't get that. Too much of that gross out stuff these days. I love a horror director who appreciates the use of shadows, lighting / darkness and one who toys with the idea of what may be lurking in that "darkness" Carpenter hit all of the proper marks with this film including composing an unforgettable score!!!

  • I spent eight years trying to reach him, and then another seven trying to keep him locked up because I realized what was living behind that boy's eyes was purely and simply....Evil...

  • this beats the friday the 13th and nightmare on elm st themes by so much.

  • did this come out on vinyl? I need to find that!

  • @Scathe8000 In '78, I'm pretty sure eveyrhting came out on vinyl! : )

  • The ONe The ONly The CLassic HALLOWEEN!

  • I hate the drum beat, watch the old movie and the drum beat is gone. John Carpenter said himself it was a bad idea to add the drums when he made the soundtrack. Get the 25th Anniversary soundtrack, it has the ACTUAL original Halloween theme

  • @brad1115

Personally I like the drum beat. It sounds like someones heart pounding.

  • you better watch out! The Bogey man! Hes gonna get you! Hes gonna get you! Gonna Get You!

  • I agree with top comment, nothing will ever compare to the original theme on the first movie.

  • John carpenter is a genius in making this theme music. i wonder if he knew that the film he was making was going to be all time greatest horror movies ever made.

  • @mrman3810 lol, yes and no. He believed in a classic horror movie but when making the movie and during the first screenings, the movie didn't do too well at all, the movie grew to it's "classic" status over time.

  • Halloween came out same year as Phantasm. Wich was better?

  • i had a friend named mikey myers once. but hes not my friend anymore.

  • @Brandonjollota He tried to drive a knife down your throat, I take it?

  • One still gets scary when listening this theme and wish it had never been composed.

  • i remember my little cousin saying this music creeped him out. i was like 10 and he was bout 5. and one time me and him were alone in the house at night, cause i was babysitting him. i had my CD that had this song it, and i put it into the PS2. and i put the volume of the TV way up. and i played it. he was hiding in his closet for the rest of the night until his parents got home. guess i scared him a bit too much :P it ok, my brother did that to me too!

  • @bloodvein3 hahahaha thats awsome

  • @bloodvein3 LOL XD

  • Best theme ever

  • Hollywood's #1 serial killer

  • bassie en adriaan!

  • What is Michael Myers official date of birth? I understood it was October 31, 1957.

  • @DetroitLove4U October 19, 1957.

  • Halloween fucking rules!

  • @OurGangFan the movie is pretty cool too

  • This always makes me feel on edge...like something is gonna happen lol. So Intense! So Bad ASS!! :D \m/

  • i made my sister wake up to this in the dark

    i pissed her off

  • Finally, The Original. :)

  • the drum beat is stupid, he added it to the soundtrack and he even said he regretted it. the theme in the movie doesnt have the drum beat

  • this tune and that movie still creeps me out !

  • The greatest theme in horror history ;) so simple, but yet so ingenius.

  • sweet theme :)

  • Thank you very much for posting this high quality version of the ORIGINAL theme song composed AND performed by John Carpenter. Here we can see that Carpenter has tremendous talent with music composed with synthesizers. The atmospheric music in his film Christine, also composed and performed by himself, was equally as good in the music in this film. That percussion sound in the background sounds like quick footsteps and it's creepy as hell and very effective. Long live analog synthesizers!

  • Michael Myers lives on! HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

  • The one and only true Halloween theme.

  • Hee hee hee *raises knife*
