  • Hi, when I try this, my vision starts to become blurry and I panic. I can't fully do the whole thing. It feels great at first but once I the blurryness starts to occur I stop on and off. Your other video which is blue and green actually makes me panic sooner. Also, am I supposed to be thinking about anything while watching? Maybe bad experiences or good ones? Any ideas? Thank You.

  • There is never a warranty for a positive effect. If this video cannot help you, then perhaps you can try the video: "An alternative explanation for the effect of EMDR"

  • Hi, yes, I actually tried the other video right after this one. It is much better for me personally. I was able to complete the whole video and I felt relaxed. Thanks. Where and when did you first get the idea for these videos?

  • 12 years ago, I constructed a computer to drive two LEDs. First You look at one LED and after for example 0.5 seconds the LED dimished, then there was a break and then You have to look at the second LED. 7 years ago, I mounted a laserpointer on a servo-motor, which was drived by a computer. The client has to follow the laser-projected-point on a wall. The laserpoint juddered a little bit - like the nystagmus. Now I make only suggestions, how EMDR could work and which a are possible techniques.

  • thanks. I think it may have worked as far as confidence building because I broke it down on the dance floor last night.

Is this still somwhat expiramental in psychology or something?

  • Whether this video works, is somewhat speculative, because I did not made a study for this. However I have built some devices, which really help to manage trauma-experiences in therapy. In my impression is the stimulation of the brain through the videos here on youtube similar to the function of the devices. But surely these videos cannot help each person. So be careful. Perhaps a decrease of heart rate during viewing these videos can be an indicator for functioning.

  • what exactly does this do??

    what's an EDMR
