Wow, I've never seen this movie before, but I have been on adderall at one point in my life because teachers and my parents all said I had (ADD) and (ADHD). I stopped taking them because it blocked away my creative ability and I felt like a robot. I'm glad I stopped taking them. I had a bad feeling about them.. people are who they are, stupid fucking world.
I would like you to please do exactly as I said. It is a subversive enough subject for you to consider for your book. When medicine men want to know how to cure ailments, they talk to and ask the plants for help. Are they mentally ill? No. These extreme views that you explored that are held by the supposed mental health professionals are absurd. Show them for what they are by interviewing heathy people they'd otherwise put into the hospital. They don't belong there.Most of all we need their help

Once again, another absolutely fantastic view of how Wall Street is ruining America and did we see this in the theater? No. People WAKE UP. This movie needs to be promoted everywhere!
I almost got vegstablized when I was 6. My elementary school therapist for whatever reason decided to use me for experimentation. They did a lot of studies on the effects of isolation and such on me, they did things like telling the other kids they couldn't sit near me, they took me out of class, and they tried to give me medicine that is used to calm inmates in insane asylums, fortunately they had to go to a doctor to get it prescribed and my mom caught wind of it. I'm still recovering.
This documentary moved me to tears. I had been on medication since the age of seven to the age of eighteen. I firmly believe that the ever rotating list of chemicals coursing through me did more harm than good. I do not hate or blame my parents, they were uneducated and at their wits end and were willing to do whatever the doctors suggested. I highly recommend this documentary to parents who are entertaining the idea of medicating their children, and anyone else who is affected (or not).
Loved the video, wish more people would watch it and understand it. Thankful my parents never put me on drugs and feel horrible for those children that never got the chance to not be.
It's about time someone made this! I was put on at least 20 different psychiatric meds through my youth. Literally a decade of various pill trials and not ONE was worth the awful side effects. I finally dropped everything at age 20. Now I'm 24 and realizing I was fine all along, I just needed to let my brain develop naturally .I feel those drugs took away a large chunk of my childhood, and the worst part now is looking back and realizing that for years I was pretty much not a real person .
i work in an Emergency department. We see a lot of people /children on psych medications and I have come to the conclusion they do more harm than good. They are destroying this generation. What amazes me is that parents will change the meds over and over because behaviors are getting worse but will not discontinue them. They are so brainwashed !! I breaks my heart to see 3 year olds on Abilify, for Bi-Polar!! How can you diagnose a child at 2-3 years old with a Bi-Polar??

I am very sorry for all those who have been damaged by their parents stupidity. I a parent of 4 do not need a documantry to understand the dangers of placing children on drugs. Ritalin screwed me up.I took it for about 11 years or so starting from the age of 3 or 4 and I believe it left me messed up for the rest of my life.I think my mom and dad just couldn't deal with raising me.They were lazy and thought "Hell,let the drugs do it".Ive dealt with depression,drug addiction,suicidal thoughts and now just in the past few years,a lot of medical problems that may be caused from taking this drug for so long.

I am feeling a lot better now and i cant remember much but i escaped diabetics but not weight gain, and 4 stone of it not to mention i started harming my self for the first time.
And they gave it to me for sleep of all things and ativan on top, i cant remember to much of the whole experiance but if my mother didn't watch this tailor more than likely i would still be on them today.
Im healthy once again still not sleeping very well but i will try other methods, thank you for this film.

@CommonRadius Thanks for making this documentary. My childhood, and nearly my life was destroyed by the all consuming destruction of psychoactive prescription drugs. Being put on one thing to fix things caused by other medicines, going from Ritalin all the way to Lithium and more. On a new medicine or in a hospital every week from second grade to twelfth. I'm lucky to have made it away from those drugs as well as I have.
I'm sorry Zyprexa ruined you. I was put on Zyprexa at 13 and I gained over 15 pounds in 3 weeks, I was I zombie I slept nearly all day and ate when I woke up just to fall asleep. Now as an adult I refuse to take any medication. I hope you're doing better :)

I've seen this film and it is very very good. I've also seen the damage done by these drugs. Drug companies, in co-ordination with the FDA in their pocket, has done a brilliant marketing campaign of addictive and dangerous drugs which are far worse than illegal street drugs. If we want a safe country to live in, these drugs will have to be the first to go.
Any drug can make you "feel better" when you take them - same goes for heroin or cocaine. Doesn't mean the drugs are helping anyone.
wish i seen this earlier. Just after coming to my normal mind in the past 2 weeks and wat the fuk? I was on serequal, laragactil, cymbalta and the worst drug on the planet zyprexa i dont even kno what i was like on them. I cant remember the last around 3 years and i was only on these drugs for 1 year and was 17 when i was givin them. My drugs are still running and my psych dosent even know im off them. Have been off them for 3 months apparantly.
i have a friend who was on anti-depressants and he committed suicide but i suppose since it was on the warning label that this could happen i then suppose it was his own fault. he was a healthy hard working good person.
@TheHarrywolff Although it may help you now, the long term effects can be catastrophic. These drugs also can have an opposite effect and drive people to suicide etc. it's well documented! You don't have to believe anyone, do your own research!

The first time I took pills it was from a doctor after surgery. After that I was hooked for years. Then tried almost every drug known to man (not herb). It almost ruined me. And I know it started with prescription pills. I smoked herb before and never did anything else until the doctor came along.
Take into consideration that the gov. is dumping toxic chemicals on our highways to dispose of them which goes into the air and it's effecting our children. How can an unborn child have over 20,000 chemicals in it's system if the mother doesn't consume any toxins and chemicals? i was forced to take anti deppresion medication as a teeganer. i tried to commit suicide twice while on the medication, i had never thought of suicide before i took it, and i havent had the thought ever since i freed myself from that horrible poison. anyone who says that the medication helped them, i can show you 10 people who it hurt or nearly killed.
I sympathise with those speaking out against over prescribing of children.

Great movie, the conflict of interest between the drug companies and psychiatrists is out of control and hidden from the general publi. The more exposure of it the better. How can a child refuse when their own parents are pushing the medication on them "for their own good". When a source as trusted as a parent, teacher, or family doctor gives you medication, you take it. I did for 10 years before I quit on my own. The stuff robs you of your personality, I never felt like I was really awake.
What people do not know is that there have been no studies of the benefits of psychiatric drugs on children... Not one single study. So, how are they getting away with prescribing them to our children? Tell me where is the sanity that someone prescribes a drug based on best guess rather than best test?

What you dont seem to be aware of is that, even if some pharmacists in some countries are trying to make money by over prescribing medication to children who dont actually need it for profit, which its true, they probably are.
It DOESNT actually mean that that medication isnt actually useful for children who do legitimately have depression and ADHD.
No hard drug (or combination of) has ever been properly tested for use with children. In some cases these children are 2 years old. So if you are party to giving hard drugs to a minor you are potentially affecting their brains with substances that are not completely understood. It can be argued that this might even advance mental illness or lead to a live of addiction. That is of course a decision for the parents...

I am not even sure how a psychiatrist could justify claiming a 2 year old had depression or ADHD..
They obviously are simply not doing what they are supposed to and were taught to do, but that certainly by no means, means that none of the medications for these illnesses work or are created with good intent and i would hope that your movie does not suggest that.

Wouldn't you agree parents are better suited to make that decision if all the information is available to them? Pharmaceutical companies obviously do not feel so. It is proven that certain companies have in the past gone to great lengths to hide or alter results. I am curious Moyga if you have seen the movie or if you are criticizing it blindly? At first, i felt that this trailer suggested that and was worried.

i went through a depression time in my life and was prescribed PROZAC and didn't feel any different taking them at first..the doctors told me if i smoked MARIJUANA the medication would have little effect,,after a couple months,, suicidal thoughts began...I decided to stop taking the pills and just smoke weed because it OBVIOUSLY had a better effect on me then that shit..from then on,, i've been an AVID pot smoking HAPPY CAMPER

Schools get $5400 per child they enroll, unless the child is termed With ADD or other pyscological problems the school gets $8200 per child that is why 90% of foster kids "Wards of the state" are on Ritalin or other mood altering drugs.

A very important message for our times.I refused to place my children on medications and pulled them from the public school system where they have blossumed into beautiful people which I am quite sure would not have happened if they were on the meds the school wanted them on.Theraputic nutrition and changing their diets worked wonders here.The FDA is nothing but a paid drug pusher for drug corporations!
If only you guys knew the rampant abuse of Ritalin, Vyvance and Adderal on college campuses. Almost everyone I know takes that shit to study, for finals this semester my friend was up for over 3 days straight on Adderal to cram for a test.

Ritalin screwed me up.I took it for about 11 years or so starting from the age of 3 or 4 and I believe it left me messed up for the rest of my life.I think my mom and dad just couldn't deal with raising me.They were lazy and thought "Hell,let the drugs do it".Ive dealt with depression,drug addiction,suicidal thoughts and now just in the past few years,a lot of medical problems that may be caused from taking this drug for so long.

I am feeling a lot better now and i cant remember much but i escaped diabetics but not weight gain, and 4 stone of it not to mention i started harming my self for the first time.
And they gave it to me for sleep of all things and ativan on top, i cant remember to much of the whole experiance but if my mother didn't watch this tailor more than likely i would still be on them today.
Im healthy once again still not sleeping very well but i will try other methods, thank you for this film.

Being put on one thing to fix things caused by other medicines, going from Ritalin all the way to Lithium and more. On a new medicine or in a hospital every week from second grade to twelfth. I'm lucky to have made it away from those drugs as well as I have.

I've seen this film and it is very very good. I've also seen the damage done by these drugs. Drug companies, in co-ordination with the FDA in their pocket, has done a brilliant marketing campaign of addictive and dangerous drugs which are far worse than illegal street drugs. If we want a safe country to live in, these drugs will have to be the first to go.
Any drug can make you "feel better" when you take them - same goes for heroin or cocaine. Doesn't mean the drugs are helping anyone.

I was on serequal, laragactil, cymbalta and the worst drug on the planet zyprexa i dont even kno what i was like on them. I cant remember the last around 3 years and i was only on these drugs for 1 year and was 17 when i was givin them. My drugs are still running and my psych dosent even know im off them. Have been off them for 3 months apparantly.

The first time I took pills it was from a doctor after surgery. After that I was hooked for years. Then tried almost every drug known to man (not herb). It almost ruined me. And I know it started with prescription pills. I smoked herb before and never did anything else until the doctor came along.

Great movie, the conflict of interest between the drug companies and psychiatrists is out of control and hidden from the general publi. The more exposure of it the better. How can a child refuse when their own parents are pushing the medication on them "for their own good". When a source as trusted as a parent, teacher, or family doctor gives you medication, you take it. I did for 10 years before I quit on my own. The stuff robs you of your personality, I never felt like I was really awake.

What you dont seem to be aware of is that, even if some pharmacists in some countries are trying to make money by over prescribing medication to children who dont actually need it for profit, which its true, they probably are.
It DOESNT actually mean that that medication isnt actually useful for children who do legitimately have depression and ADHD.

No hard drug (or combination of) has ever been properly tested for use with children. In some cases these children are 2 years old. So if you are party to giving hard drugs to a minor you are potentially affecting their brains with substances that are not completely understood. It can be argued that this might even advance mental illness or lead to a live of addiction. That is of course a decision for the parents...

I am not even sure how a psychiatrist could justify claiming a 2 year old had depression or ADHD..
They obviously are simply not doing what they are supposed to and were taught to do, but that certainly by no means, means that none of the medications for these illnesses work or are created with good intent and i would hope that your movie does not suggest that.

I have not seen this movie, I only randomly stumbled upon this trailer, and in my first reply I apologized and said that I felt when I first watched this trailer that it was giving out the impression that none of the medication actually worked and wasnt real etc.

At first, i felt that this trailer suggested that and was worried.
It would be a tragedy if a parent denied their child the medication they need or even the counseling/general help because of unjustified skepticism and that child was forced to suffer.

i went through a depression time in my life and was prescribed PROZAC and didn't feel any different taking them at first..the doctors told me if i smoked MARIJUANA the medication would have little effect,,after a couple months,, suicidal thoughts began...I decided to stop taking the pills and just smoke weed because it OBVIOUSLY had a better effect on me then that shit..from then on,, i've been an AVID pot smoking HAPPY CAMPER

While I sympathize with your loss, I also sympathize with the thousands of families who have lost loved ones because of these drugs.
A cure that saves a few and kills thousands is no cure. It's legalized murder. These drug companies knew about it and still pushed it to make billions. They should be force to take their own medicine.

Schools get $5400 per child they enroll, unless the child is termed With ADD or other pyscological problems the school gets $8200 per child that is why 90% of foster kids "Wards of the state" are on Ritalin or other mood altering drugs.

A very important message for our times.I refused to place my children on medications and pulled them from the public school system where they have blossumed into beautiful people which I am quite sure would not have happened if they were on the meds the school wanted them on.Theraputic nutrition and changing their diets worked wonders here.The FDA is nothing but a paid drug pusher for drug corporations!

If only you guys knew the rampant abuse of Ritalin, Vyvance and Adderal on college campuses. Almost everyone I know takes that shit to study, for finals this semester my friend was up for over 3 days straight on Adderal to cram for a test.

the alarming part is that it didnt start there. i beat the hell out of a doctor who handed me a script for ritlan . for my three year old (reccomendation from her head start teacher) my daughter doesnt attend that school anymore.

Eric Harris was taking a drug called Luvox which is an SSRI. Many other school-shooters were also on this class of drugs.
