  • Can you help me on how to replace a LCD Back Light Socket Connector Part? The very small part of the lcd screen.

  • so i have a question when you buy one like off eby caues thats where im buying mine does it come with both sides or how can you tell if it has both sides?

  • everyone. shut up. we should be hating the ChineseBlackJews

  • This video helped me a lot! Everything went very well. If got a transperant housing now :-) thnx for this great vid!

  • Fuck the niggers

  • darthlarry, NOP, I'm not latino or whatever you wanna call me. I'm caucasian(mainland Europe), NOT WHITE(People from Wales, Ireland, England, Scotland and Iceland) . I think it isn't cool to insult someone for his or her appearance or culture.

Ok, now I'm done. Hey regarding the PSP MOD, I guess it isn't a good idea to change the whole housing. Something goes wrong ALWAYS, or something isn't properly install. Past experiences makes me say this man. LOL

    Later.

  • Dude why is everyone pissed at you. ALL I read in the comment section is about your hate against mexicans or latinos, and I went through the whole thing and never found any racist comment. Did U freak out and erase it?

Crap, I guess you blew it this time. And yes, at school the second most racist race is ASIAN, just after blacks. You gotta be ASIAN.

hope you can erase your stereotyping habit off your mind 'cause you are never gonna make it through in this cosmopolitan society.

    Later dude

  • i just got the same Full Housing Faceplate shell case for psp 1001or FAT

  • Thank you, it was very helpfull to me!

  • man ive done this at least ten times and every time my door is really loose and bounces open, any idea on how to fix it?

  • @Davidgon100 don't do it; or if you still like to have a little change on you PSP, then, change the faceplate and front buttons with the same theme as the one from your new faceplate only(to keep harmony on the colors). That way you will have part rip-off and part original on you PSP; meaning that, at least if the rip-off hardware area turns out to be of less quality, the original hardware area will hold your system together. Hint: Chinese stuff will never have quality control over their items.

  • @Davidgon100 you most likely installed the spring that holds the door in place backwards.

  • thanks bro this helped alot

  • I had spilled some coffee o my psp & now when i turn it on, the m33 recovery menu shows up and no matter what button i press, i can't navigate or quit the recovery menu, I am only able to adjust brightness :-|

  • hey how did you get the faceplate and other thing?

  • grate video, you got nice taste in music

  • lol shouldn't you have took the memory card out at the begining?

  • @zomb3kill3r

    nope.

  • @darthlarryYou should always be in well lighted area, when disassembling any device.............. I also think that you should talk to your viewers as you disassemble the device, tell your viewers what steps your doing so that they will know what to do next. Other than that, the video was great. *** stars

  • the hell with swapping houses

    iv done it

i KNOW what im doing , i been modding psps since V1.50, taken my psp aprt PLENTY of times, bought at leaset 300$ in parts like lcd screens, extra batteries, LEDs, memsticks, but when i installed my piano black housing, my square button was sensitive as fuck, the screws wouldnt hold together all the way so dust would always get in my psp

  • @ToonSxO

    ... so?

what are you saying i dont know what im doing?

  • @darthlarry im saying I DONT, i need to know where i can get offical shells cuz sometime the ones i buy online wont fit proberly, ill take pics of mine so i can show you what im talking about if you want to help me cuz dust gets into my psp easily

  • @ToonSxO can you tell me how to do a led mod

  • Monster Hunter Portable PSP Case ; .; I envy you so much

  • whats the name of the first song?

  • @erick36594

the song is by tenacious D i think its called destiny

  • @erick36594 It's called Bartender if you still don't know.

  • WTF!!! I'm dominican and juss cuz you took off a psp apart and then put it back on together doesn't make u a freakinn king or something and by the way no one in here is insulting Latinos bitch!!!

  • @darthlarry Fuck. You. For. Insulting. Latinos.

  • you did a good job showing but i would be more carefull on those snap on connectors cause they break off easily you should use two flatheads to gently push it up. one on each end.

  • @darthlarry wooow wooow what are you trying to say about mexicans and blacks in that comment mister?

  • is 2000 the same way as taking apart the 3000

  • hey this is the best video in my opinion for changeing front and back plates can u okz telll me where u bought the case for the psp

  • I did this for my 12-year-old - he got a free psp from his cousin that was very battered. This was much more involved than I realized, but your video was the cause of my success =). I would really have loved commentary with it, though, as there were some sticky points that really confused me - like the cover to the UMD door just pops off, but I was really afraid to force it. I just would have liked someone to tell me that it takes some strong wiggling. Took me a lot longer than you!

  • @darthlarry I'm mexican and thats hurts me :(

  • how did u get the PSP parts???

  • dear you tube fUks every video doenst HAVE ! to have your shitty music picks

  • this guy is probably asian

  • @MrTheTechDeckNoob i bet you wish you were asian.

    and no im not.

  • is that s a PSP 1000 , 2000 , or 3000 ?

  • @darthlarry it says 2001 in title which is limited edition

  • just for a challenge i took my whole psp apart and put it together not very hard

  • @BlackDeath1231 yeah i know! i dont know why all these annoying people are having such a difficult time with it.

  • @darthlarry lol bunch of dumbshits

  • @darthlarry It's not that everyone is having a difficult time. But not everyone can be so casual about things they put money into, to take them apart for fun. We can't afford lack of experience to ruin the item, so some of us would rather get acquainted with the process first. Like checking a map route before even disembarking on a trip as well as during. You must admit some connections offer some resistance, which would give an inexperienced user some hesitancy. Try to remain sympathetic.

  • just hire someone that knows wat thy are doing thats wat i did

  • @ everyone taking off the faceplate is as simple as pouring a cup of juice the only part where it starts to get tricky is the backplate

  • monster hunter cover?

  • ok thanks im going to a blue psp faceplate front and back it come with the botton. i buying to joystick and the scrwer

  • too hard for me. can you chage my faceplate

  • probably not sorry.

  • is hard to take psp apart. because i what change my faceplate to

  • how hard is to do the back of the psp like lcd other thing

  • Changing the faceplate is the easiest step. Just take all the screws out and the battery and just lift the faceplate up and change it out. If I messed up comment back. :D

  • Thanks Was Helpful.

  • help the screws are stuck

  • is there a way to replace that white thing that directional movement button mine got cut now it don't work is there please i want to play

  • desperately need help.

    uhm. see at 3:22

that peice of copper tape. mine snapped.

not the ribbon itself. but now my screen wont work properly. is this peice of tape the cause of it? wat should i do.

  • hmm ok,

that tape is probably either somthing to hold the screen on or a negetive/positive lead.

so what is your screen doing?

i would just try to re connect the tape with some scotch tape or somthing

  • well. the backlight aint working. u can still see it faintly. but its completely unplayable. as if there is no power getting to the LED screen at all.

  • its ok if just the tape breaks. mine did too

  • what a nerd i would pay ten bucks to do that for my psp

  • Somebody just dropped my psp and now i need a back faceplate because every time my battery comes out. help me out? i have psp2000 spidermand edition red front and black @ the back

  • go to ebay and get a full case. only like 20 bucks

  • thx man

  • THNX MAN VERY HELPFUL

  • where do u get screwdrivers small enough to fit the screws

  • you can go to home depot. i found a pack that came with a 000 (triple zero) screwdriver, which is what you need, and it came with three other ones all for 5 bucks.

  • well i bought my housing off ebay and it came with the screw driver

(but i ended up useing my own screw driver any way because the other one was a piece of crap)

you could probably get one at a hardware store

  • Just one question do the buttons and analog stick feel as comfortable as the original ones??

  • the buttons are just a hair stickier than the original but i would bet that they would loosen up with use

  • thanks.

  • when i take off the smallest clamp for the lcd, the whole piece comes off, what should i do?

  • well you could try to solder it back on but i don know man, you might have to buy a new mother chip for your psp

  • btw psp FTW!!!!!!!!!

  • nice housing...i wanna ask something...if example like u buy a black housing psp...will it look the same??

  • i dont know what you mean...

  • like whats the difference between an original housing black and normal housing?

  • well probably not much but the buttons dont move as smoothly but thats pretty much it.

  • so hows ur bronze psp?? cool?? any problem with ur new psp housing?

  • very cool.

  • man on ebay you really really need to get a better screwdriver

  • Been following this guide. however after reasembly I can't turn the PSP on.... When the battery is inside I get the orange light flick on when the power cable is plugged in. However when flicking the on switch nothing seems to happen (no green light or anything).

Anyone happen to know what could cause it? The switch is connected to the case switch.

  • hm take the front off and try just looking at it. see if the cable is connected...

if thats not it then i dont know try taking it apart and putting it together again...

  • Hmmmm any idea if the parts work outside of the case regardless? Would save me having to keep reopen it.

  • Just in case your wondering. fixed the issue. The massive central ribbon was causing the issue. In your video I didn't realise you unlocked it like the other ribbons.

I just assumed it could slide in and out. So basically I dragged it out the first time and shoved it back in. With the lock still in place The ribbon was not actually connected.

Anyway excellent guide, but as a sugestion. you might want to point it out as that lock is really hard to see.

  • is this the same way you open the psp 1000?

  • no way different

  • i have to psp 1001 and the differences are:

1.removing the screen from the board bracket is kinda hard for beginners.

2.disconnecting the screen is kinda hard..i bet connecting it back up is harder.

3.the l and are buttons are not screwed down...

4.the circuit board is different..and there more...look it up
