sound like the owner added more plants...but needs dif substrate too. geckos are sloppy eaters if youre feeding it any live food. they tend to miss crickets and get a mouth full of substrate. if it manages to swallow that substrate it has a good chance of dying from impaction(unable to poop it out)
that setup needs way more plants i hope you put alot more becuase there is alot of wasted space that he cant use in that cage, but im guessing its way better now.

im not trying to be mean or anything but i think you should change the bedding and maybe put some more foliage. it would be much better for your crested but so far nice terrarium
Ive heard u dont have to use any heat bulbs aslong as the temperature is between 70-75 degrees fahrenheit. During the summer thats usually the tempature in my home. But during the winter....uh yeah I'll probably need a heat bulb....any recommendations for how many watts to use.Should I use a basking light and a regular blue light bulb during the day or just the 1. Im thinking 60watts
Please I need advice Im gonna be getting a crested gecko soon
you need more plants crested geckos are arboreal reptiles and spend alot of time in trees its VERY VERY IMPORTANT THAT HE HAS PLANTS TO CLIMP ON. And if its cold in your house use a 75 watt uvb/uva light bulb. if your house is warm use a 50 watt uvb/uva bulb. Also very nice gecko very tame. *_*
I breed Crested Geckos and sell them at expos, and for this cage what you really want to do it add a styrofoam background, more plants, and put a heating pad either on the side of the tank or underneath it just so if he gets cold he can go to the warm spot. And you will need to get a tropical UVB light from petCo they cost $40 for a complete setup. Or you can also dust the food with calcium WITH D3
Nice pink xbox controller ya got there lol

That light is to hot, get one less hot (less wattage).... Notice how your gecko was on the ground. You need more limbs and branches for climbing!

MORE PLANTS the need cover to hide the need to hide so the feel safer.kk good luck on the geckos
spoofsondemand 2 years ago
looks good. only 2 things id suggest
1. loose the light. or atleast get a florescent strip light
2. add some more plants and branches
good luck with your geckos man. there definently rewarding pets
