  • I was there.

  • I was 1 year old when this happened

  • Thomas was 21 years old

  • This was at Eagle Cave Campground way outside Madison. 4 days of amazingness!

  • This place was a cluster fuck! The next day the cops were trying to get people to move their cars but everyone was like WHATEVER! You cant get ravers to do shit two days into a fucking camp-rave. We were too fucked up.

  • I was there rolling my face OFF! I feel so frackin old!

  • @metronomic1 What I want to know, is what's it like knowing you saw a real live legends at their roots? God I wish I wasn't only two years old then.

  • @robotrock909 Daft Punk are ok, I've never been a huge fan. At this point no one even really knew who they were.

  • DAFT PUNK WAS IN WISCONSIN ONCE UPON A TIME?? :( WHERE THE FUCK WAS I DAMNIT?!

  • Guy, il gère les entrées de sons et filtre l'ensemble du mix..... c'est cool, il date ahlala !!!!!!

  • @dancer502 Me too! one of the best weekends I've EVER had!

  • NICE!

  • The legend was true.

  • so as far as ive seen, Thomas is the main mixer, at least that is what ive noticed, so what does Guy do? :(

btw this is my favorite part of my favorite DP performance ever, they sure bring it on!

  • @usaggi

Guy is, AFAIK the bald due with the beer can and a hoodie

  • @springsten no he is not. Guy is at the right side of Thomas. check the videos carefully.

  • the ones in the background is just standing still. they are not dancing

  • This is gorgeous.

  • Drop Bass... aka Kurt E brought them out.. anyone who doubts this is a moron!

DAFT PUNKS FIRST U.S. PERFORMANCE WAS IN WISCONSIN!

  • @ALNPWI HOLY FUCKING SHIT MY MIND IS BLOOOOOOOOOOWN NOW!!!

  • I'm gonna settle this once and for all goddammit...there is no doubt this is Daft Punk. They were prolly the #1 reason for 60% of attendance that weekend. If it helps to prove this any I was eating mescaline with Chris 26, who was one of the promoters of the weekend, by the fire and he says "let's go check out Daft Punk" and we went into the tent, I was standing next to Guy almost the whole time. I was pretty fucked up but i'm sure i couldn't have hallucinated the whole thing.

  • @biologicChris You weren't hallucinating. I was there and I have the old ass flyer still.

  • this is incredible!

  • increible, en esa epoca sudaban la gota gorda!!!

    daft punk greats!!

  • Guy-manuel was there also, he just wasn't in shot in the video much. All the song they played were from the only two singles they had release but there was also some songs made just for the live shows.

  • That is Daft Punk, and they ARE playing at the Even Furthur rave in Wisconsin. This is 1996 not 2000. I don't know why you say that. That IS Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo.

  • Wrong, sorry.

  • Yea right, good luck getting daft punk to play a rave in 2000, they were playing stadiums and festivals for 50-60k

You can tell by the clothes, how young they are and the music that this is clearly pre homework.

  • @breakbeat7 Are you retarded? The first Further was in '94.

  • @breakbeat7 WRONG. I was there.

  • Where is Guy?

  • What a fantastic video. To see Daft Punk before they made it big in the States. I also loved the confused looks on some of the audience's faces. Probably was a first time listening into some French house too.

Looks like Bangalter (?) was killing it back then too.

  • Hardaly, American EDM was only really big in Detroit and Chicago, otherwise it was mostly UK, German and French music running the scene back then.

Nobody would fly an act from France to play a 200-350 person rave if they had no draw :P lol

  • @lushys It wasnt just Detroit and Chicago. At this time period rave culture was blowing up and just about every major city had a scene. The "Big 4" though were Detroit, Chicago, Toronto and New York. I would estimate that there were about 3,000 people at Even Further from what I can remember. Possibly more.

  • @neobanzia

they look confused because they were balls deep.

  • @joshamore In mud.
