We could use the funding and our defense budget on our own problems. On our own deficit and our own homeless, energy sector unemployment and cities. When we see unemployment at 20-25% and we are striving for being world humanitarians that by itself should make you wonder. The problem that lies is there are many places that have worse conditions then Libya. Just like how we gave money to Haiti for relief and the money itself is still held by congress. how many did we kill by holding that cash?

Just my opinion but I think that Gadhafi presents a well oiled machinery that has been in power over four decades and one has to wonder if he is removed from power, who will that really benefit and will that result in another Vietnam or Iraq? A two nationstate, perhaps? What do you think? One thing is for sure, his demise would surely impact the world economy significantly .

I wish the American government can be as sensitive to the human suffering of the Libyan people when it comes to the massacre of Palestinians on the hand of the Israeli war machine. The American government instead uses ridiculous vetoes to defend the repeated crimes of Israel against humanity in Palestine and Lebanon. The brutal force used by Israel against the defenseless people of Gaza for example gets no such reaction. Not even close.

Gaddafi said he feels betrayed by the west. You can only feel betrayed by friends. And they were all friends regardless of the rhetoric that poised him and them as enemies.
