  • I don't get moved easily but this moves me. Its sad and soothing at the same time. Reflective, but comforting. A very interesting balance of moods. Its a beautiful piece really. For some reason i always think of this as an ode to Quint. That or an ode to all the people gone from the shark. But its also a serene sense of coming home.

  • I have said this before on another clip of this piece, but when I was younger (I'm 55 now), I wanted to use this for my funeral music. The first 30 seconds would be either bringing the coffin down the aisle or out the door being rather sad, but after that, it seems to perk up a bit, as if to say that things are getting better, and I'll be going to a better place. I then wanted it followed by "Morning After" from "The Poseidon Adventure". Both great pieces of music for that.

  • This is one of the only films I will sit through the end credits for because I love this theme. Just beautiful!
