Haven't these snapper head oil companies done enough damage as it is? From assisting the the war money making machine, world pollution to complete utter devastation of echo natural habitat(s) e.g Alaska. Alternative engines that run on anything from alcohol, garbage to water have been squashed by corrupt government officials for long enough! I say get rid of all the oil companies real quick and no questions asked! Any future oil companies doing business would consist of just cleaning the planet!

well oil is like money so when iraq goes and steals oil from other countries that are allies with the U.S.A it could easily start a war. But oil could be gone by 2025 the goverment says 2042 but that is thought to be a very unlogical number, the only way that oil will be around for a longer period of time will be if the governments in all countries force car companies to sell and only sell electric cars. then oil can be used for only making things and not used for running things.

Yeah ur right about only using oil if we really have to, to make things out of. But don't you think if we'd have stopped this a long time ago we could've come up with a new way of making things!? Also, and since they (rockurfellas) where the cause of ALL this Oil-creepedy-crapedy-pollution­-fun-n-games around the world today, They should be in charge closely monitored by the whole world mind you! With Not One country excluded,to clean up their mess on this planet for at least the next 300 years already end of story!

well it would definetly have a huge impact on the economy leading up to the day that this happens as soon as someone mentions that peak oil is a year away the markets will act really crazy in that it should actually climb up really fast in the energy sector atleast for the time that it leads to the peak oil but once its reached then it will begin to drop and the market should slowly go downhill and once oil is gone my guess is that the dow will be back to where this recession pushed it to.

this video is enormously important. The point about cutting imports by simple measures is so simple but will not fly in corporate controlled america. watch any of the town hall debates on healthcare and you'll see that were totally screwed unless some legislation gets passed contrary to public opinion
