I love your videos, man. I enjoy most of them (the ones where other people are not around). This one is too dangerous as I stated in my earlier comment. I fly helis, too (not FPV, though), and have seen what happens when there's a mechanical failure, regardless of pilot skill. Flying with people around is just too dangerous, especially because most people are'nt aware of how much harm a rc heli can cause.
A little dangerous to fly a 450 size helicopter around people. Those blades would cut pretty deep if they hit some one. I would have just flown an ezstar or maxi swift like that, not a heli fpv
Man, this is what I've always wanted to do. All this time I didn't know FPV equipment was. This affordable. I mean if I can get a $300 kit and take even half as beautiful shots like you, it's worth it. Since you can get high power transmitter equipment for controlling the heli, I guess the only peoblem would be power of video transmitter on the heli. I mean if you are flying by FPV and you are so far away, loosing your video feed=crash.

@jancolap "special setup for hard 3D flight" =helicopter setup not the max. blade pitch reduced with dual rate--> less servo resolution- harder to fly. I did not want to change the length of the servo arms because of 3D flying.

@hedgehogtk I think 40 MHz SPCM is safe enough with a 7W booster. I had two failsaves at checking the range without booster, you can see them in the video.
With booster (enabled with a switch on the RC transmitter) everything was alright, again 7W!!!
With SPCM the normal PPM and the Futaba PCM1024 are no big problem even at the same channel. And even if there would be someone at the same SPCM channel right next to the heli- I have much more output power.
@muni86 just read the stuff about the 7W booster. Are you serious? You know that radio amateurs say: smart people focus on antennas, dump people on output power? Trappy flew 45+km with 250mW and PPM on a FSSH system with no lockouts. And you use a 7W booster for 200m range inside a city? Are you serious?! 7W on close range is simply pointless, and disturbs everyone else using that band in a wide range.

@muni86 my motivation is not much different from yours. But my execution is a lot different. I'm very concerned about safety, minimizing risk, for a lot of reasons. At your level, I would definately not have flown inside of Vienna, on a public spot with lots of people around. What if you had broken a bolt on that "landing" drop, and your heli had spun out of controll into a young girl, severing her face? Don't say it wont happen, you've heard of murphys law, and your skill is only supporting it!

I think he said that not more than 2km was possible in New York.
OK Vienna is nothing compared to NY but I want to point out that in cities are different rules.
