I often scare away the wife with ocarinas, whether it be from me playing or playing youtube vids. It's not that she dislikes them, it's just not her choice of music and how often I'm playing them but just now, watching/listening she says "Hey that's that Ubizmo guy isn't it? Out of all the guys you listen to, he's the best, I could even clean to his music!" And that right there is a huge compliment!

It's your great playing and also, you're choice in material! Way diff from the usual ocarinists!

Don't worry, I scare away people too. That's why it's key for me to have an ocarina that I can have with me when I'm out and about. I listen to the radio and when I hear something I like, I jot it down to try later.
