I'm a bit grosses out every time I see it in Japan. But I'm not ignorant enough to say that it is bad or evil. Someone might say that killing animals for food is cruel. Or buying food from major distributors that cage and slaughter their animals is evil. You realize when you go fishing and keep the fish in a cooler of water, they are slowly suffocating to death since it's a small tub of water that isn't having oxygen recycled. It's all just cultural differences.

uncivilized? the computer that you are typing your comments on was most likely developed in japan, the cell phone you talk on, the car you drive. if you watch how americans kill cows and pigs and other animals its just about the same. and personally i dont belive in eating dogs or cats, but what makes dogs and cats different from other animals that people eat regularly? theyre still animals, and their meat is probably nothing different from beef and chicken.

These fish are not dead, and fish are fully capable of feeling pain. Reflexive muscle movements are random -- like epileptic fits. Gasping, breathing, head turning, these are not reflexive actions of dead animals. People who don't know biology just make up excuses to absolve them of guilt for their cruelty.

This video made me really really sad. Keeping fish alive simply for the sake of entertainment is extremely cruel. These are animals and they feel pain, and i can't believe you guys can actually laugh while the fish on your plate is moving. You need just a little more human decency. Decorating food is great, but this is past moral standards.

An animal always suffers when it dies, lobsters for instance are always boiled alive. There is absolutely no difference, morally, between watching an animal die and buying it already dead on a plate. If you have a problem with this video you shouldn't eat meat.

But we have a problem when it takes 45min to execute a murderer, it's the same reasoning when you take forever to kill an animal. They feel pain. If i were to think like you, then lets get everyone to torture death role inmates, for years, and laugh about it, cause at the end of the day, we get a dead man. So, that's the difference, giving life dignified death. It's not the same thing.
