Wally thanks for sharing Do you like using the road runner style jigs the best. I know the flash must be a good stimulator for crappie to attack. I like using different colors even tho crappie are color blind but I am sure the shades make a big difference because I personally witness this for 40 years, One of my favorite bait come in the form of yarn, Its funny but it does work super well and the action from the string is realistic. I make my own so they are easy to put on the jig. Good video

Ray Roberts is an amazing Crappie lake. But it's an even better bass lake. Given it's young age, it should be right up there with Fork in a couple decades.

Wow a 10 foot pole lol. Try using a 5 foot ultra lite pole with 4 lb. test if you want to have fun.

Any veteran crappie guy will tell you that a long pole is the best way to fish heavy cover. I even use a 30 ft. extension rod in the spring to hit crappie that are several feet back in thick cover. Ultra lite tackle is great for open water but you have to be able to pull them straight out of the cover when their way inside of it. A 5ft rod+4lb line+standing thick timber=lost jigs and fish.
