Whatever, guys! History has never been 100% exact, and very often it was 100% wrong. So there is nothing to be fully trusted, especially things like "shocking news" and so on. One thing is clear - I can't say a lot about Slavs in Europe, but Russians are Slavs that are very mixed with Asians. Hard to say who is who there.

Russia is a large country and there are many other non-Slavic ethnic groups that are often referred to being Russians too. Ethnic Russians could range from not being mixed at all to being mixed greatly (usually towards the East of course).
All Slavic peoples are mixed with others to some extend. The South Slavs (Bulgarians, Serbs, Croats) are mixed with Turks, Western Slavs (Poles, Czechs, Slovaks) are mixed with Germans. And it is the same for non-Slavs too.

this video is very suspicious. Why should this video be accepted as truth if Russians rewrite their history in new ways at least once in a century? Mongols - name for Turkic tribes and they composed most of the population of later Russian empire. They were recorded as Russians while they were Turkic. The tzars were trying to make them forget their history after conquest. Turkic element is very important in present Russian genes. By the way, Mongolian capital was Karakorum in Central Mongolia.

"Russians" is the name for eastern vikings who settled centuries after the Turkic states in Europe had been established (Hun Empire, Desht-Kipchak and others). Slavic people were originally called Veneds and by one version the name Slavic comes from "Slave", because vikings conquered them and made slaves.

The fact that many ethnic Russians have eastern blood in them is not only because of the Mongol-Tatar invasion. The Mongol-Tatars did not even occupy major old Russian areas for a significant amount of time (they just collected tribute). Before the invasion, since the establishment of Kievan Rus' and even before, Turkic tribes like the Pechenegs, Khazars, Polovtsi were in contact with the East Slavs on the eastern frontier.

About relations between turkic people with russians. Did u know that russian consists on 1/6 or more of words of turkic languages? Wellknown turkolog N.A.Baskakov found out 300 family names of turkic origin. Here some of them:Ushakov, Suvorov,Kutuzov, Tatishev,Arakcheev,Korsakov,Aksakov,Rahmaninov,Karamzin,Tyutchev,Temiryazev,Turgenev,Buharin etc..The russian history should be check out properly and find out the objective display of historical events of those bygone days.

Moscow raised to power because it has a right from Lords of Golden Horde to collect the taxes from nearest territories.
