John Prines version is better, i just have to say, I mean she is talented, I will give her that, but I wish I did not listen to this, John Prines version had soul and heart, this has a whore and new lyrics, big whoop, I understand if bands and singers are going to be singing covers early on in their musical career, but she is obviously past the point where she needs to sing other peoples work so she can make an extra buck.

I can't account for others sh!t taste in music. It saddens me when hacks like Miranda try to cover good material (because they have none of their own) and completely trash it. John Prine won a lifetime achievement award in 2003. He was inducted to the Nashville Songwiter hall of fame. Bob Dylan called him one of his favorite writers. Johnny Cash looked to him for inspiration. Doubt any of this will ever be true for Miranda. Oh, and he also recieved Artist of the Year award at the AMA in 05.

Um....This song was written 40 years ago and is loved by generations who love Mr. Prine and his art. I don't think anyone will be listening to this pop version 40 years from now.
