  • She is beautiful! Our son has been in Early Intervention since he was 2. He's 4 now and we are seeing progress, but still a lot of stimming...

  • Am I the only one here who thinks autistic girls are cute and autistic boys are just...wat.

  • Is it just me but this seems like normal child behavior it looked like she was just dancing around

  • What a cutie! :)

  • I stll walk in circles with out noticing it :)

  • i like turtles

  • she's so adorable and playful!!! <3

  • Has she been diagnosed by a doctor as having Autism?

  • @Seattlecarnut They have Decided that she has a lot of autistic traits, but she has eye contact. She is now being diagnosed as having severe sensory integration disorder. She has had her first day of OT today and we are hopeful. She stims a lot, has frequent meltdowns, and is having problems learning. Her older sister has been diagnosed with Asperger.

  • @indigopurplecat I've always felt that unless properly diagnosed by a specialist, one can't truly be sure of what the condition is. Just because she has autistic traits, that doesn't necessarily mean that she has autism.

  • @Queenlyzard I haven't seen that video yet not have I seen the Loud Hands Project but I will check them out now. Thanks for the suggestions.

  • All I could think of when watching this was: "What a marvelous little angel! A child of God. Bless her spirit and her carefree whimsicalness!" :-)

  • Did you make the beat yourself?

  • May I ask you some questions about autism? Please let me know I need more information on the subject because I have a three year old cousin who has undiagnosed autism please help me if you can. We are all concerned. Thanks Jessie.

  • @Oxleybear Sure, I would be happy to help. I took the girls to a homeopath and saw great improvements in both girls!

  • @Oxleybear How do you know it's autism if it hasn't been diagnosed? Do not self diagnose, do not prescribe symptoms to children where there may be none. Take him to a neurologist have him tested. There's far too much self diagnosis and wrong disagnosis of autism. There's a woman on youtube, convinced her son is autistic who posts numerous videos and the child is clearly normal.

  • I heard Vitamin B12 is good for Autism

  • She is adorable! My daughter has a chromosome disorder and diplays some of the same behaviors. (she's two) We're taking her for an autism evaluation next month. Would love to see an update from you soon!

  • I'm 20 & still catch myself doing the flailing & spinning arm movements. I never had a speech delay, but I have always had low muscle tone. I also have ADHD, OCD, sensory processing issues, GERD, and anxiety disorder.

I graduated school, am starting college to be a special ed teacher, and am starting my first job today. I also have aspergers.

  • Wheeee... she's flying.

  • @macjacpensacola ---Bring him to a Clinical Neuropsychologist to be evaluated.

  • @macjacpensacola Honestly, I would take him to a homeopathic Dr. Faith and Taylor both have improved after going there. It's amazing what they can do.

  • This does not look like autism stimming behavior to me......

  • Vaccinations...

  • @0hmyy0utubeusername No, genetics

  • @Beauty4Aspies Do some research on the sudden increase in Autism over the last few decades and then try to tell me it's genetics. Environmental factors are accepted by the scientific community to be the general cause of autism, and mercury containing vaccines are a leading candidate as a cause. Scientific Journals bro, read em.

  • IM SORRY but i dont see anything wrong with this child, if our society thinks there is something wrong with this, then help us GOD.

  • My daughter's 8 and has Aspergers, and she always spins!! She stopped hand flapping long ago (now she eats her hair... it constantly gets destroyed :( ) but she keeps spinning, and I think it's so cute and poetic. It's not weird at all to me. She skips, spins, dances when she walks, and sometimes goes back and forth in zigzag patterns, or in winter, she absolutely has to break every ice puddle she passes no matter how big a hurry we're in! Spectrum kids' movements teach us to be more alive...

  • @karaokepoet People can learn a lot from children with autism. My oldest grand daughter, Faith, has asperger. she doesn't flap unless she really gets upset, but she has a lot of "quirks". She toe walks and asks questions she already knows the answer to. Both girls have improves a lot since taking them to a homeopathic doctor.

  • she is so cute

  • when I was a child I did this, but I was dancing music I'd play in my mind.

And I am an aspie :P

  • @britters220 My oldest Grand daughter is an aspie too! I have done lots of research and have realized that my son is an Aspie and my daughter for sure has a form of autism. The girls dad is an Aspie also. I can recognize children in town that have autism. I believe there are lots more children with autism that are never diagnosed.

  • My friend I've known since I was nine little sister always acts like this. They think its normal and cute. But I know somethings not right and it makes my skin crawl. My two cousins and brother are autistic not to mention the multiple friends that have or have a sibling with autism.

  • Is she drunk or something??!

  • @Nate97982 Autism is a developmental disorder that normally appears in the first 3 years of life, and affects the brain's normal development of social and communication skills. The symptoms can vary from person to person and affect each one differently but there are signature behaviors and disabilities linked to the condition such as: Stimming (some form of self stimulation), repetitive behaviors (such as lining things up in a row over and over).& communication problems (many are nonverbal).

  • Leave your physician/pediatritian if he/she doesn´t know how to treat aspergers or autism & demand your money back! Docs didn´t do their homework! The information is already out there since years! Google & youtube "Dr. KLINGHARDT - HPU - Lyme - Heavy Metal Detox - Nitrostress - Traumas and traumas passed on - Today´s high electric exposure & its affects on microparasites & their microtoxine production in your body"! Visit a KLINGHARDT-protocoll-trained doctor!

  • @KarinOll Thank you, Actually I have taken the girls to a Homeopathic doc and we have had tremendous results!!! Faith still has some sensory issues, but she is going to do another round of the drops. I will be doing an updated video soon!

  • @indigopurplecat That is awesome to hear! I would be interested in what he prescribed! She is such a cute and pretty girl! Dr. Boyd Haley, an exellent biochemist, has also come up with some very important material for autistic people & others. He has lectured on a conference for Authism. There is the chance for healing/substancial betterment out there. Important things to look for: glutenfree, cowdairyfree, sugarfree diet, mercury test by Dr. Chris Shade, glutathion level test, ...

  • ... also shielding your child as much as possible from today´s high electromagnetic exposure, for instance at night, as Dr. Klinghardt recommends, by a sleep sanctuary - a silver coated moskito-net that works as a Faraday cage.

  • ... and authistic children have lower glutathion levels thus detox worse from mercury (pregnancy - Mum, vaccines) and other toxins. How to raise glutathion levels watch "Dr. Chris Shade on New Methods of Mercury Testing and Detox IAOMT 2009 Las Vegas" and also Dr. Boyd Haley with his OSR-product here on youtube! All the best! Watch "Dietritch Klinghardt, M.D.'s presentation on HPU / KPU / Pyroluria, Lyme disease and Autism" here on Youtube! All the best! Love and greetings!

  • Have you seen the good film here on youtube: "Autism made in USA"? Recommendable!

  • She's cute!!!!

  • Watching this, I couldn't help but think how beautiful her movements were. My son is autistic as well and sometimes I think of stimming as a language all of its own.

  • @wwbritt73 i am having problems knowing what autism is??? how does someone have autisim??? this little girl on the video looks normal to me? i dont get it! could you be kind and explain to me...

  • @Nate37982 Hi Nate, kids with autism don't have good eye contact, they walk in small circles while other kids around them may be playing, they are in their own little world. My oldest Grand daughter was in Sunday school @ the same church for 4 years and never spoke to the other kids, never acknowledged they were even there, She wanted to rock back and forth, roll on the floor, hide under things, etc. I can say, after going to a Homeopathic DR. , She is a lot better!!! They both are.

  • @indigopurplecat okay know i understand they have a hard time sociallizing with people. and that they are in their own little world....thanks for explaning it to me....i never meet nobody with autisim, just got curious cause of the video on youtube and commercials of autism on tv.

  • @wwbritt73 I really thought her movements were beautiful too. Like interpretive dancing or something like that (sorry if it's a bad anology, I know nothing about dance :)

My niece is autistic and she's really starting to express herself. She does alot of singing and dancing too which is great b/c she was practically non-verbal a year ago.

I think it's important to view such behaviour as communication and expression b/c we often view autistic children as totally closed.

  • @wwbritt73 Autism activists agree with you there! Have you seen the video called "In My Language" by Amanda Baggs?

Also, check out the Loud Hands Project.

  • She is gorgeous. Congrats.

  • i did and sometimes still do that but i am not diagnosed

  • And Kudos to the parents of this little girl for putting this video here and sharing their concerns. I have 3 children and one of them has these same symptoms. We have a Sensory Processing Disorder diagnosis and are most likely looking at Asperger's down the line. I appreciate being able to see other parents going through this as well. SHe is a beautiful little girl and she will be great in her own way with parents so in tune to her needs!

  • and also realistically, have you been in an elementary classroom lately? EVERYTHING is group based. EVERYTHING is highly socialized and collaborative. When you have a child who is unable to control their movements, has a communication disorder, or suffers from severe social anxiety (like that seen in aspberger's etc..) it is CRUCIAL to interfere early so they can learn to handle those environments, because they have no other choice and that is just the harsh reality of our world.

  • Its not about judging or trying to fit kids into a certain box, its about trying to make your child comfortable enough in their own skin to be open to experiencing the world around them and able to learn. In a perfect world, just loving every child the same and not judging would be best. Unfortunately, those of us with children who have symptoms like this don't have that luxury because realistically, we are trying to prepare our children for the real world just like every other parent.

  • What song is that??

  • This is what makes me mad about ppl and how ignorant they are. What is a NOT TYPICAL child show me in a dictionary, i wish ppl would get out of this box every child is different in great ways. I hate when ppl point things out "oh thats not normal" WTF then you tell me whats normal since you got a PHD in idiot. Lets love every child the same way and dont judge. Oh Yea she's adorable lol What song is that? and i LOVE how she is having a good time. You GO Girl!!!

  • She will gain control as she ages. So many new sounds in her world. Once she is familiar with them....it will be ok. She is a beautiful little girl

  • Try to test her for having a lack of Magnesium in the body. It is very common, if you have some kind of autism. (try Google)

Giving her magnesium and vitamin B6(vitamin b-pill) every day will make her feel calm and well. It is a laxative, if you give her to much. ;-) I take magnesium every day.

  • man this is like looking at my daughter. she's going to be 4 next month, speech is still terrible, especially answering questions!! she can't sit still for a second unless she's watching some video, and flaps and spins just like this alot.

  • she is the happiest lil girl

she is so cute LOL <3

  • @IndigoCat17 Thanks!!! She is high functioning, but still has a lot of issues to work through. We listened to the Chicken dance song for 2 hours on a trip one day.....Over and over. I don't think I like the song anymore!

  • @indigopurplecat LOL typical for a 3 year old to make you play the same song over and over lol my cusin lucas is 9 and when he was alil kid he would press same botton on his toy over and over i was like stop it or i will throw that thing out the window, he still likes to drive me crazy
  • She is only 3 so it is typical

for a 3 year old to do but I

    can tell she has autism

  • @IndigoCat17 I have a lot of neurotypical relatives who were three at one point--all of them would have become easily bored with endless spinning or other stimming. Not me though. So no, I don't agree that CONTINUOUS stimming is typical of 3 year olds.
