WKF kata rules state that competitors wear blue and red belts.

One aka and one ao.

Its the same in kumite :)

Whats with the 'red' belt. I don't recall this being a Shuri-ryu standard belt color or even Okinawan karate for that matter, except for the deep red belt of a hanshi. Though I would have to say the 'wearer' of this red belt is much too young for such distinction.
