I would recommend looking into some headphones without the microphone. No need for it with most Mp3 players that I am aware of. I have a great pair of Denons for $50. Thats almost half the price of these Shure's here. If you wanted these, I believe you can use them, but be aware that there are different versions of the plugs. One model for regular headphone jacks and the other for iPhone.
