Legend is that at Nilsson's funeral, just after the burial, George Harrison suggested to Eric Idle and those assembled that a rousing rendition of "You're Breaking My Heart" should be an impromptu performance... of which those who were capable complied.
I've ben a fan for years, but I never heard this song until just this minute, on the BBC tribute documentary 'Imagine - Harry Nilsson: the Missing Beatle.' What a voice, what a genius, what a man! And his last wife Una was (still is) one of the most beautiful women in the world!
Thank you for playing THIS ANCIENT SONG, period. I was only about 5 when I first heard this. Harry was an awesome piano player. By the way, nice turntable, right on!
I remember my Dad buying this album because a friend had played it for him and he couldn't believe that you could use the "F" word on a record. My dad was a big fan of swear words...
I did'nt remember a poster coming inside this album, so i went and looked and by-golly it's there. Good album:):):):):), bought it new in high school and still listen to it and my Nillsson Schmilsson album on occasion. Harry was the greatest, i loved this song and Joy the best on this album.
I remember riding main street listening to the AM station ( in the 70s ND was fm challenged) the dj says heres a brand new one from H Nilsson at the first FU all you heard was RPRPRPR as the needle was draged across the vinyl
LOL and i remember when i first bought the ablum and i was blasting it down our basement and my Mother was in the kitcken and i did not know that song was on there and the fu came on my Mother starting yelling at me LOL
joe.....the entire "son of...." is most excellent. The fidelity is primo, as well. What I think is cool about this video post is that they recorded the song like it would sound through the phono that it is being played on. Cool concept and video rendering....IMO :)
Wow, that brings back some memories. Thanks for posting this. Harry was such a passionate singer, even on his humorous side. So many people now just overlook the passion and talent and think it's all about the show.

Nilsson is way under-rated. His music is available on iTunes, so you don't have to hunt down a rare LP to enjoy it.
