  • fk u

  • fun if you hit the glass and shatter it

  • lol sneak that inside the shark tank at seaworld and see what happens! XD

  • that is just awesome, it looks like alot of fun, and seperiour fun to hit the people when they are swimming!

  • if you cant swim with the fish, swim with the submarines!

Bye

  • niceeeeeeeeeeee

  • Like a fish descending /ascending within the water pool! Good Job!

  • That is cool. Pretty agile.

  • dont go too deep... tht happened to me, the hull cracked

  • looks about as fun as a fishtank........does it sit or roll over?

i guess could be cool with a video camera on it, but how many pools ive been in with underwater windows is zero....

  • where can i buy one?

  • Tesla was the first to sort R/C. It was also a submarine..

  • lol yeah and little dead plastic soldiers and sunked boats lol

  • @ pfiberoptik not only torpedoes ":P more submarines to and start a war :P

  • is this nuclear power ?

  • nope

  • that pool is at least what 10-15 feet so thats good for a little sub like that. I say one just like this on amazon i will see of its still there and get me one i got to talk to dad thou he wants a rock crawler or a airsoft tank.

  • yeh same :|

  • it needs some torpedoes and this'd be fun.

  • how deep can most model rc subs go?

  • like some 12 feet max idk depends on its quality

  • be pretty cool to dive it till the hull ruptures :)

  • even has ballast tanks!!

  • awsome craft - but i'll be more impressed if there was an onboard video camera that send the video wirlessly and just recording it...

  • Where do you find a pool with a big glass window in it?

  • hahahhahaha

  • I'd drop those water resistant fire crackers with a lead weight tied on one end and see if i can't score me some depth charge hits

  • this is a big pool...

  • this is so really awesome!!! just needs one thing... torpedoes. lol

  • And a camera !! and fish! :-)

  • outstanding & scary! cool.

  • very very nice

  • nice rc sub... how long can it stay underwater before running out of batteries??

  • Nice, but where can you really use it?

  • I was an Engineroom Supervisor on the USS Daniel Boone (Lafayette Class) so I'd have to paint a 629 on the sail.

Is there a limit on the length of time for a dive? I fly RC planes. Could I use one of those receivers or does the subs use a different kind?

  • DUDES! Now nobody is safe :S

  • You could have fun with this at a public pool!

  • First RC Sub I've ever seen. Looks pretty good.

  • AWESOME!

  • I have never seen RC subs, cool. One down side is you need a pool with a viewing window like I think this is or underwater camera or be in the pool with a water tight RC control box.

You really can't see when it is running under water.

  • awesome how do you replicate the up and down motion while not in motion

  • sub commander running briefing: "alright gentlemen our theater of operation has been reduced to what appears to be a swimming pool, we will be required to search and destroy enemy targets on the surface as well as people swimming under the water with extreme prejudice" *fires torpedoes at a synchronized swimming class then launches a Triton missile at the audience watching*

  • @pentica i know your coment was a year ago, but you sir, are officially awesomesauce, sorry about the discrepency and delay in delivery of your award *hands trohpy with catsup bottle ontop to you*

    *

  • @pentica why thank you! lol the sub commander was eventually awarded with the medal of bravery for being the smallest and finest man to ever nuke a swim-class

  • If that thing had torpedoes it would be PERFECT

  • thats the cooleest shit ive ever seen...How much you pay for that?

  • That is a great work. I need a biger one.

  • that's pretty cool nice work

  • Very nice model.

  • woow very nice submarine !

    How tall is it ?

  • I didnt think an rc sub could maneuver so well! It looks like It turns on a dime!

  • since when does a pool have clear walls?

  • Since pervs wanted to watch people half naked while swimming? :P

  • zoo's have a good bit of them... and some fancy houses, saw them on tv lol

  • Pools that train diver's

  • you should mout a air soft o paintball gun on it and thwo fireworks at it

  • dood thats ballen where did u get it? i want one

  • cool, btw, does that class carry missiles?

  • What ballast system are you using?

  • Looks great :)

  • Would be Cool to have people on top throwing Fireworks into the water trying to sink it lol

  • only reason i would get this if it would shot nuclear warheads into other toy submarines ^^ ahah

  • ... That doesn't make sense, man. Subs don't launch nukes from torp tubes. Nukes are launched from the back of the sub.

  • @LoneSniperSG Unless it's a mark 48 torp.

  • lol yeah me too needless to say i want one :D

  • Beautiful Submarine. Great work. Anybody that leaves criticizing comments, are just plain jealous. Too bad I don't have access to a pool like that or, I'd buy one sub myself. peace!

  • That IS pretty cool. I REALLY want a model like that. Only trouble with it.....at those scale depths and speeds, all masts should be down. They DO rattle something BAD with drag if raised at too high a speed. Also, being over 400 fee long, that sub wouldn't have those masts up while that deep.

  • dive dive dive lol go up go up go up haha

  • this is very cool.

  • Outstanding! What a great view. She even banks into turns like the real McCoy.

  • ws the fun?

  • my school has an "observatory" room like this for when the divers are being judged.

  • were you under water or through like a glass window

  • should have put jaws music in the background....

  • LOL

  • Now if only we could put mini war heads on it

  • is R/C system will working thought water..

is R/C system weak in the water or same as air

  • sub of the day

  • lol

  • if you dont mind me asking how much did it cost w/ battieries control ect, and where u get it sooo coooool!!!! :) ^.^

    thnks

    gavin

  • Basic question: Are subs like these controlled by a regular R/C unit, or a different frequency better suited to underwater? Does an antenna go into the water or stay topside? I've seen many subs on YT but never the controls!

  • I now this sub smile

  • hey it can go deeper than me :D

  • Nice handleing and driving of the submarine.=)

  • hello this thing or beast is lovely. where you buy or wat website?

  • Wow! Look at it handle..! (Thought for sure it was going to hit the wall, sorry : )

    & it really shoots upward!!

    - Neat!

  • WOOOOOww...It looks so exciting to have one lol(PS.I dont have one.)

  • that place is awsome!

  • Hi rage,

it's (electonically) limited to 4 meters/12 feet for safety-reasons. I know some guys have gone to about 9 meters/27 feet.

    Jeti

  • Would you have to alter the model beyond the kit's build specifications to get it to go that deep?

  • @jeti how long dose it last

  • @jeti hi this is Dylan from Lafayette I just want to know a few things. How much did the sub cost. How deep can it go.How fast can it go.Where did you get it.Can I go to your house and see it and opperate it.Can you please give me your street adress and phone number in my personal message box.And trust me I am not one of those people who try and go to your house and hurt you and haras you and all of that kind of stuff.I am 15 yaers old.So you can trust me :) Please write back and give that info.

  • For an Engel Lafayette...I'm just guessing, but it could run from $500 to $2,000. If it weren't a slick nuke--that is, if it were an older-style sub with lots of topside details...undoubtedly it would cost more ! : )

  • Hi CF,

It's an Engel allright but not from Danmark but Germany. Check their website for prices and details on (add W's).engel-modellbau.(de) Prices vary but for the Lafayette you're in bussiness for about 1200 US. Only add 2x servo, receiver and batterypack. Kit comes (like all Engel kits) including a HiFi static diving system. I have the U19 too. Should be a movie on youtube of this sub somewhere.

    Jeti

  • My own experience: I have designed and built a low-end dynamic diver (a "dynamic diver" sub dives without need of a ballast tank, but handling leaves a bit to be desired) out of r/c car electronics and put it into a Trumpeter Seawolf model kit. Handles OK, but design's improving as I learn more.

  • DeuceHoss, I think that would be an Engel Lafayette--right, Jeti? R/C subs are an expensive hobby to start with...and Engel is top-of-the-line, from Denmark I think. Gorgeous Lafayette...wonderful handling. Thrilling to watch.

  • where can i get one, and how much?

  • has it got a on board video cam .that will be good under water filming with the fish

  • Good boat good film wonderful

  • wow great film!
