....There are also cases such as the man swimming with dolphins in S.A. when attacked by a shark and the dolphins just swimming off. He was shocked because he expected the dolphins to save him or some rubbish. These cases are well documented in a number of books. And the reason they check people out on beaches are because they are predators. Sharks will do the same. Except, people think sharks are bad and dolphins are good.
most of the people that had swim with dolphins say it is a very amazing experience ,and it must be thay are wonderful so if i have the chance to swim with dolphins, i will is one of my dreams.
As fun as that might be, it is such a false impression of dolphins. Captive dolphins are conditioned to do this for food, not by choice and the only reason it happens is for money & to satisfy peoples unrealistic expectation that dolphins should be like Flipper. They never tell you about dolphins attacking people in captivity. Try touching a wild dolphin and see what reaction the dolphin gives you.
Dolphins are quite probably the most human-friendly animals in nature whether in the wild or in captivity. In Florida where I live on the gulf coast, they routinely check out the beachgoers and ride the boughs of boats just for fun. Sure, they must be respected in the wild, but history is full of hundreds of stories of dolphins coming to the aid of humans attacked by sharks, one such event just happened of these shores a couple weeks ago.
LOL kmillard...'dolphin rescue' stories are mostly based on no hard evidence and you would hardly expect to hear about the cases of humans being dragged out to sea or ignored by dolphins. There is a case of a captive Bottlenose killing a Leopard shark and then spending the next following hours pushing it to the surface. It is instinctual behavior.
is very beautifl the delfin are the best
