Uhh. Yeah you kick start a dirtbike, like he did... I didn't see anything wrong. It started right? Thats all that matters. I've never had any problems startin my 150r like that. And you don't need to pull in the clutch if its in NEUTRAL. And if its not warmed up then the HotStart lever is kinda useless. And I'm 5'3 on the expert model. This isn't really a beginner bike...

@gibsonrocker070, well u were kicking it repetitivly without giving it gas, thts how you start a 2 stroke, for a 4 stroke alls you need to do is kick it once and at the same time pull the throttle down about half way

@TheLuky8 , choke on half or all depending on when it was last road, gas on, 1 kick with some throttle. not mutiple kicks in a row....if you wanna "start" a 4 stroke the way you do than just go ahead and flood your carb its k bro!

@2005yamahattr125l well to be honost you own a ttr-125 right? the ticking sound is from the cams and the valves 2 stroke you hear loud pinging sound from the exspansion chamber..
